About me:
"When you were a child I was always afraid you would turn out normal. I'm proud to see your demented creativity." -- Walter A. Smith, my Father.
Freelance writer Tony Smith lives in Boothwyn, Pennsylvania with his partner and their politely demanding beagle Molly and hasn’t had a real firm grasp on reality since he was six-years old. Even when he does get a grasp on reality, he tends to act like a six-year-old.
Smith started writing short horror fiction in 1996 and was a member of the infamous
DarkEcho Horror Writer’s Workshop from about 1996 – 2000. Although he wrote dozens of stories during this time period, most of them went unfinished because he lacked true motivation. He was also too young at the time to have any clue what he was writing about. But, during his “baby step” days, he was fortunate to receive critiques and feedback from horror pros like Paula Guran and John R. Platt as well as other, lesser-known editors who rejected his work very kindly. Impatient and impetuous, Smith was easily sucked under by the drudgery of “real life” for a while before he started writing comic books in 2006.
Tony contributed four stories and edited the inaugural issue of
Queerbait, an GLBT comic book anthology featuring a diverse collection of stories by comics’ next generation of writers and artists.
He has also written for
Prism Comics,
Fan-Atic Press,
CBG Comics,
Pride Comics and
Twisted Gate Entertainment. Smith has also published various articles and GLBT comic book creator interviews at
AssociatedContent.com and
PrintNPost.com.
Currently, he’s returning to his literary roots and is writing short horror fiction again under the pen name Sean Michael Smith. His most recent endeavor is editing/publishing an online e-zine called
Flashes In The Dark which features short horror fiction under 1,000 words EVERY day. He also has stories published at
MicroHorror.com and has an upcoming drabble in
Necrotic Tissue and flash fiction in
Tales From The Moonlit Path .

Death Metal by Armand Rosamilia {Sam's Dot Publishing}
www. genremall. com/fictionr. htm#deathmetal
Death Metal is a dark fantasy/horror novella published in trade paperback format.
No one had ever connected Daniel as the brains behind seven brutal concept albums about Satanism and the dark figure Natas, but when a teenager quotes lyrics from his literary work, Daniel fears his 10-year old daughter, Missy, is in trouble. His fears are founded when she is kidnapped. The kidnappers want Daniel to complete the last three albums for his former band--and return him to the demons he had tried to escape. Daniel can save her, but can he save himself?
"Rosamilia jams the E-major of dark crime in Death Metal. That scream you hear is the electric-soaked feedback of scorching prose." ~ Scott Nicholson, author of Scattered Ashes
Death Metal is a sharply written tale that starts quick and works its way to an edge-of-the seat ending you won't forget. It's one of those stories you just can't stop reading. Bravo! Or should I say Rock and Roll! ~ Laura J. Underwood, Author of The King's Wind and The Green Women
With Death Metal, Rosamilia keeps you anxious to turn each page, and leaves you wanting more. A spectacular read that will not disappoint. ~ C. S. Johnson, author of The Watching

We took down the Christmas Tree this weekend.
I was surprised to find the remains of one of my wife's co-workers (I think it was the office manager) in the tree branches closest to the wall.
I didn't say anything and she continued smiling while I removed the decorations from the tree and put chucks of human flesh in a big plastic garbage bag.
I'm not going to make a big deal out of this, but I AM going to check the basement and crawl spaces to see if we have any more "unexpected guests" lying around...
