A bit of a reality show junkie, but only selectively. I am way too busy creating this crazy MySpace and playing taxi mom to really spend a lot of time in front of the tube...besides...I fall asleep less than ten minutes into the show anyway, so why bother.Books
Oh, my, far too many to mention. I have a stack on my bedside nightstand, more in the living room and two entire bookshelves in my hallway are filled with books. It's true, I love spending a quiet evening at home with a glass of wine and a good book. I'm reading about seven books right now. The genres are self help, business leadership, science fiction, fiction, writing, and the list goes on. My kids and I are having a reading competition this summer. The girls have to read Homer's "The Iliad" and "The Odessey" for school...hahahahaha!Heroes
Helen Keller, Mother Teresa, Abraham Lincoln, Rosa Parks and anyone who has overcome severe adversity or hardship to succeed. These people inspire me. Oh, yeah, and of people I have known in real time who are my heroes: my grandparents, my parents, my siblings and my children...and the students and parents of the students I teach and have taught. They are all doing a courageous work in parenting the best way they know how and I am daily inspired by them.

Remember us discussing the son in Hollywood chasing the acting career at age 14? Well, google Movie Surfers by Disney on the net, open the official site. Then click on the film clip "Surfers go to Space Camp" and sit back & watch Bridger get his introduction as a Movie Surfer. He also recently booked a voice over as Travis in an animated cartoon called Bunyan & Babe. He will be with John Goodman, Kelsey Grammer & Eddie Griffin for Exodus Film Group. I am so proud of that older son of mine & so blessed. Youngest is playing in goal for local mite hockey team & going to goalie camp this summer!
