T. T. Tucker Bum Rush Band was formed in Baltimore in 1990. Their unique sound falls somewhere between Johnny Cash and Captain Beefhart, with some Root Boy Slim thrown in for good measure. For more than 15 years T.T.Tucker has flourished in obscurity, making friends along the way, playing his special brand of American music his fans have grown to love. From the Country & Western tradition to Rock and Blues, musical influences as diverse as Waylon Jennings, George Jones, John Prine, and Stan Ridgeway, among others too numerous to list, T. T. Tucker blends a multitude of influences together for a memorable live music experience. T. T. Tucker and the Bum Rush Band have gathered a dedicated fan base and loyal local following in both Baltimore and Brooklyn, NY. T. T. Tucker and the Bum Rush Band refuse to be labeled. You can call them roots, cow punk, Americana, rockabilly, swamp boogie, alter country, whatever you like. Their original mesh of these and other styles personify american music, plain and simple.
The T.T. Tucker Bum Rush Band will be on the sound track for a new movie now being filmed here in Baltimore, Maryland. Watch the trailer for "Charm City the Movie"

"As one man stopped and set me to rights rather sharply for my behaviour, I turned round and screamed a single meaningless word in his ear, clenched my fist right under his nose, and stumbled on, hardened by a blind rage that I could not control."
Mister Boh sez: The dollar-short rotgut weltschmerz of Tommy Tucker's voice swings the two-by-four of sad reverie upside my haid. Sing it sweet, old pal...
