this event. It will be AMAZING, but parking is
hellacious. You will most likely want to park
over a mile away and walk. I recommend parking
at the Beverly Center and walking, or you could
try to meet up with me at my house. Near this
intersection. Romaine & Ogden. You will want to
arrive and park NO LATER than 8pm to find us.
Do not rely on cell phones. You'll need to meet us
on time to join us for the dance! Don't call me.

THE BIG EVENT ..WHERE?
The Hollywood & Highland Shopping Center 801 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood, CA
We'll be in the main courtyard in front of the giant arch.
Click on the above pictures to see it. Parking: park in the lowest most level of the Hollywood Highland Parking Garage, level 6E.
WHEN? Arrive 9am! It is CRITICAL that you arrive 9am! Arrive in the Hollywood Highland Parking Garage level 6E by 9am. We will be down there rehearsing, getting dressed, doing makeup and debriefing.
What do I bring?
Bring make-up and hair products. You'll want black and white face paint & red face paint for blood! Feel free to go fancy and bring fake skin latex if you want.
Bring a costume! Wear some old used-to-be-nice clothes , ie button up shirts, not a t-shirt. Alternately: dress up like a famous celebrity or movie character! There will be an award for best costume!
How?
The how is that you come to practice and/or learn the dance online! The Practice videos are here.
Achtung:
To participate in the event, please learn the dance prior to arriving on the 25th. You will not be able to learn the whole dance that morning.
You can learn by watching the instructional videos at home, or by coming to practice!
WHY?
>We are doing this for fun. We want to do something that doesn't cost money, that promotes community, and that is just fun. Several of us did it last year in San Diego, and had an awesome time. We want to bring that joy to Los Angeles. We also want to make a cool video to put on the internet that will make us all look really cool, and then you can tell people "hey check out what I did!" Lastly, we want to hold the record for the most people to do the Thriller dance world-wide, and we want to be the city with the most people doing it (we've gotta beat Austin, NYC & SF). We do this and we'll be Awesome! And we'll have fun. Come join us!
Listen to KROQ at 7 a.m. Monday for Mahdroo's updating the gang on our event. Did you know that Psycho Mike and DJ Omar were there to crash our party? (Well, you guys in the back definitely saw them. )

Hey guys, TTW OC offers up a lesson/rehearsal this Friday, September 19 at Atomic Ballroom in Irvine. Just in case there are folks in the southern tip of LA County who might want to head that way.
