Released by MeteorCity in 2009, Let the Night Roar is a scorching and violent slab of perfectly executed sludge metal, it is that good. Let The Night Roar specializes in pretty gritty doom sludge metal. This is a brutal album, no doubt about it. With every subsequent riff, one cannot help but feel like one is getting ran over by a couple of tanks.

The guitar is suitably war metal ready, the drums thunderous, the bass a constant rumble. They lay low and deep into some mighty riffs (best exemplified with "Holy War" and "Almighty"). As I've said in the past, it ultimately comes down to how well you can write a song, so check these guys out.

These guys combine the doom parts of High On Fire and Sleep with the dirty sound of Celtic Frost and Venom. Very important to bands of this sound. I believe that Let The Night Roar will manage to put their name next to all the other important bands of the sound.

Let the Night Roar add spark of energy and death ‘n’ roll to the typically lethargic and hazy stoner doom sludge sound. Their sound, is just awesome; it rumbles and buzzes with a menacing heft. The material itself while rooted in stoner rock/doom/sludge has a more dynamic and intense feel. Let The Night Roar rumble with a dearth of heavy textures, more than many of their peers. A gruff, riff driven album that has a steady, purposeful gait and delivery. Let The Night Roar's album makes for a robust, enjoyable album that holds appeal to more than just stoner fans.
