Chucky	Jul 15 2008 8:39 PM The sad loss of one of the most original thinking pubs in the area as well as being a great place to hang out. The venue played host to originals-only Grunge/Rock/Indie/metal/Emo bands. The only one locally to do so. One of my favorite venues to take photos in if not the best in the area for Black and white band shots. With a low white celling with simple domestic spotlights embedded around the celling i have produced some of my best photos. To the bar staff and everyone associated with the Tubman, especially Kate who has strived so hard to bring the pub out of the gutter, got the pubs name known locally as well as further afield across the country as a premier venue and hosted some terrific bands, only to be kicked in the teeth, I salute you for all the great memories i have both in mind and in celluloid. Your beautiful venue will be sadly missed.
