GET HIGH @ National Underground: New York, July 16th
Influences
Everybody from The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Billy Joel to John Mayer, Matchbox 20, Ryan Adams, Maroon 5, Black Eyed Peas and Norah Jones. All types of music from pop, indie, rock and rap to blues, country and jazz. There are no limits!
"Though young, the 18 year-old is actually pretty accomplished and his
record rails against everything that is popular right now: no screaming,
no nail polish, no mosh parts…..instead we have a smooth-as-butter voice." ~Lewis. Play Magazine, 01-31-07
TUCKER JAMESON & THE HOT MUGS
Tucker Jameson & The Hot Mugs is Boston’s newest and hottest rockin’ band.
Tucker Jameson, as the songwriter and front man for the band, has assembled an
all-star group of musicians that share a vast body of knowledge and experience. All students at The Berklee College of Music, Tucker Jameson and The Hot Mugs is a band of youthful, enthusiastic and energetic performers who demonstrate creative and technical abilities beyond their years. They hail from all over the country and bring with them the diversity that contributes to their exciting sound. Tucker, originally from NYC creates songs that take you on a musical journey. From romantic relationships to commentary on the human condition, from simple to complex, his songs are compelling and addictive. He has opened for such greats as Doug Wimbish and Jeffrey Gaines and his performances, whether solo acoustic or with a full band, appeal to people of all ages. Randy Blair, the lead guitarist, has a strong rock and blues background with a larger-than-life abandon like that of many Texas musicians. Having studied with guitar greats like Rusty Cooley and Joe Stump, Randy knows how to rock the house. Dan Drohan, the drummer from Rochester, NY, delivers the band’s driving beats. His experience with jazz and rock, brings to the table the killer groove in the band’s recordings and performances and the foundation upon which the songs are built. Seth Glennie-Smith is the very cool and laid-back bass player from Los Angeles. With a funk, fusion and rock background, Seth lays down a bass groove that gets the crowd moving.
The self-titled CD, TUCKER JAMESON & THE HOT MUGS, produced and mixed by Vic Steffens at Horizon Studios in CT and mastered by Justin Shturtz of Sterling Sound in NYC is now available on iTunes, Amazon and emusic and in select retail stores.

"Wherefore do ye toil; is it not that ye may live and be happy? And if ye toil only that ye may toil more, when shall happiness find you? Ye toil to live, but is not life made of beauty and song? ... Toil without song is like a weary journey without an end. Were not death more pleasing?" -H.P.Lovecraft
I saw mother-cluckers and I'll check out the new one. Seth is quite a fellow indeed. Yes, we will be around in july and we would love to play another show with tjathm.

Hello from law school! Some friends and I had a group screening of your video on my laptop. We all LOVED the Motherclucker and were falling over ourselves laughing, thanks for an excellent break from studying. Congrats on finishing the tour and let me know the next time you're in NY!

Hey fellas, don't forget MMII on your way to the top. We probably won't be around much until next summer but let us know, we'll play a show with y'all any day. SETH! SETH! SETH! SETH!
I've been a lot less productive than I'd like to be. I did succeed in applying for a BAS and getting my band merchandise on the site.
I haven't really been relaxing/having fun either though. To be honest, I don't really know what the hell has happened to the last few months. I mean, I hardly ever see my friends (they all work) and I haven't really made any musical accomplishments. I've been doing summer school so that's pretty much sucked away my life. Oh well, I can't wait to get back to Boston.
I think I'm going to try to make a solo album over here with the remaining time. I've written a lot of new songs and want to get them out there!
Looks like the Hot Mugs have really taken off! Are you guys all in the East Coast for the summer? Gigging around I presume (LUCKY!)
Well I wish you all the best. See you in a few months!
