About me: I run an acoustic open mic every Tuesday at the Tap and Spile, Spring Bank in Hull.
Running for over 4 years now, it's become an evening that has acquired a national reputation for featuring a guest, from local singer-songwriters to national and international artists, opening the show.
New players can see what's happening at close hand, have a chat with the guest, then play through the same equipment.
There is a good sound system in house, a bass player for anyone wanting some low notes, great interval music from days gone by to current artists, fabulous musicians that come along to share their talents and a regular audience of people that sit and listen, appreciate good music and enjoy a fun, warm and friendly atmosphere.
If you're not sure where we are check out the map in our pics.

TEA AT THE TAP
Sunday tea-time sessions are becoming increasingly popular around the country and the TAP is the FIRST in Hull to do this.
This is a great way to wind-down your weekend and still get an early night, making your Mondays hangover free.
Featuring the finest acoustic musicians around, this gives a chance to those that may find Tuesday awkward, or those that may want to bring a family out, to see a full program from artists that, on a Tuesday, will only do 45 minutes.
Children ARE welcome, though they should really vacate the premises by 7pm. However, if they are being quiet and enjoying the music.....who's to complain if they stay until 8pm. Nuff said.
Who I'd like to meet: Any artists in any style, from the Hot Club Quintet of France to modern day pop, traditional to world music, folk to rock. If you can play it acoustically, I'd like to hear from you.
