A popular underground open mic that never disappoints, the Tuesday Night Open Mic at Dagwoods has been entertaining audiences for three years running and is still going strong. Performers both local and from as far away as Winnipeg, Manitoba have graced the tiny stage of one of the oldest and most friendly bars in Lansing. Hosted by Earthwork recording artist Jen Sygit the Tuesday Night Open Mic at Dagwoods is the perfect venue for both seasoned musicians as well as those performers who are new to playing in front of an audience.
Some types of music you might regularly hear at the open mic are folk, blues, bluegrass, old-time, jazz, folk-rock, swing, indie etc.
The logisitics:
The Tuesday Night Open Mic at Dagwoods occurs every Tuesday night from 10pm-1am. Sign up for 3 songs/ 15 minutes, whatever comes first. Please bring your own instruments, but a four channel PA, one DI/preamp and two microphones are supplied. All types of music welcome!
