About me:
SST initially started out to meet monthly to share our passion for reading. We soon had a vision that this book club was destined to be more than just a social reading group. There are currently thirteen wonderful diverse ladies between the ages of 30 - 50............... Book clubs have made an astonishing mark in today's society. In this fast paced world we often forget to take time to reflect. We become more isolated, though we are connected by technology as never before. Reading groups are bringing people together again. The lines of sincere communication are opened, and a restoring of spirit is happening.................. Much has been said about the power of reading, much can also be said for the benefits of discussing what you have read with others. These discussions are sometimes cathartic and sometimes purely entertaining; they are always enriching. As we discuss and fellowship we expand our interests, we expand our vocabulary, we engage in the art of debate, we learn to listen, we learn to express, we embrace diversity, we broaden our minds............. We host three to four literary events a year, provide book reviews and do monthly book giveaways on our web site. We enjoy networking with other book clubs and will always promote literacy while continuously promoting African American authors. You can visit our websit at: www.SistersSippinTeaTulsa.com .
Who I'd like to meet:
We are always interested in hosting and meeting authors, both established and new. Tulsa is a literary force to reckon with; we delight in the pleasure of bringing authors to our beautiful city and introducing them to one of the most invigorating reading audiences around. You can stop by our Author Interview page to hear and read interviews with new and established authors. I've missed you. Been doing more on twitter.com/stanice and sistahfaith.ning.com/profile/stanice My friend and fellow Author Marilynn Griffith hosts the network. It has been so rewarding. You will like it there. It's diverse and we encourage one another. Such a personal and anointed experience. Check us out. I pray that your Thanksgiving and all the days after are safe, bountiful and memorable. Perhaps, you know of an organization or a group of folk who would consider making their next event unforgettable by booking me as Inspirational Speaker and/or my one-woman show.
Love, Stanice

You and your classy imagine of beauty flow in and out of a dream, as raindrops sing a love song with you in the arms of love while sitting by a fire that you start, and never put out. I set back the clock to give you more time to dream of love and that special lover.
May joy rain down on you like Seattle rain. Close your eyes and feel kisses raining down and covering you, like a warm Caribbean shower
I hope you are having a good week, for everything you seek, and for all you need, starting from the next breath you take, until your last eye flicker before you fall asleep, and to dream of all the things that bring you pleasure

Here is a passages from my best selling romantic erotic novel, BRUSH STROKES, order your copy from Amazon.com
“A man may admire what a woman does for a living; he may admire her education and social circle. He may be enamored with her physical beauty, but he only truly falls in love, with the softest and warmest part of her, her soul.”

LIKE WHAT YOU HAVE JUST READ, THEN COME ON BY AND READ MORE OF MY WRITINGS ON MY BLOGS OM MY PAGE, and for sure read my book BRUSH STROKES

A BLACK WOMAN III
(10.08.08)

From every Black Man,
With love in
the palm of his hands,
Color him thankful for,
And,
Faithfully willing to chance,
The rest of their lives blessed,
Since that first dance,
He was entranced,
By the roll of her hips,
And,
The power of her kiss,
Lips so succulent,
Man,
Without this gift,
His love,
Simply,
Could not exist.

This month I'm in competition on Ourstage.com. If you don't mind, please stop by when you have time and vote/rank artists in this category. There's also a flyer on my page that explains how the competition works and when the deadlines are. Please spread the word. I need the help from people who listen to and enjoy spoken word/poetry.

Welcome To the Family. Real recognizes Real. It's in our nature to draw to close to what is familiar. Yet we strive to be defiant and break through this mis conceptualized media. That glorifies junk, as music! Please check out our movement to revive music to it's natural element. When music was about expression of the soul. Not hooks and gimmicks, scheming to make money. There is no art in the music on heavy rotation. Poetry Over Music promotes the Real artists, the Real music, and Real talent. Please download Volume I and II, share it with your friends, family, co-workers. Support the real artists, the real poets and real music.
Blessings,
