Tulsa BikePalooza is a year-round, 24/7 DIY bike project. There is NO one in charge. It is the collaborative actions of ANYONE who wants more bicycling on Tulsa streets. YOU create the event. You tell us where and when. There are two major staples: World Naked Bike Ride is pretty self-explanatory. It was originally conceived as a way to demonstrate the vulnerability of bicyclists in traffic. But, WNBR is just another silly excuse to get NEKKID. Oklahoma is probably not ready for the full monty. But, hey, how 'bout the World ALMOST Naked Sexy Speedos and Brief Bikini Bike Ride? Critical Mass is an urban ride. The ride started in San Francisco in 1993. No leaders. No fees. And, hopefully, a whole lotta kewl cops with great sense of humor. The original cause was bicyclists' rights. Now, in over 100 cities around the world, Critical Mass attracts all kinds of people with all kinds of causes. Even Rev. Al Sharpton is getting his funk on a bike. Bicycle Music Festival is DFest on a roll. Bikes carry the bands, the gear and the audience all over town. A pedal-powered P.A. system pumps out music. If you are an up-start band struggling for gigs, why bother? Simply roll your music down the street! Let us know and we'll help you!

About me:

Within Tulsa City Limits, there are OVER 5,000 miles of bike routes and bike lanes. It is America's MOST advanced bike route system. Tulsa motorists and cops HEART bicyclists. If you don't think so, DON'T complain. City Hall won't listen. Just get off yer FAT ass and simply hook up right here on Tulsa BikePalooza. NO one is in charge of Tulsa Bike Palooza. YOU are the leader. YOU are the inspiration. YOU are the CHANGE. Wanna move your junk by bike? Bulletin your bike-move. Wanna roll with over 10,000 fellow costumed bicyclists on Halloween night? Well, people, this is the place to be. Tulsa BikePalooza! Shamelessly plagarized from Portland's PedalPalooza, Tulsa BikePalooza is a year-round, 24/7, DIY bike project. You are the ..LEADER... You are the INSPIRATION. Imagine YOUR wildest bike ride. Then, bulletin it. Zippy 20inchers hitting EVERY rail on Cherry Street? Zoobomb down Chandler at midnight? Tall bikes racing on the BA? Big butts on funky flowery lowriders? Yep. BRING it! We want to see your MOST zany-ass rides on Tulsa streets. We want to be in it. Let's ROLL!

Hoping to trade this lovely blue mountain bike for a bike that is more practical for city streets. My bike is in decent condition, barely ridden though it might need new tubes and a once-over. I'm not afraid of having to make a few minor repairs after the trade either. Anyone interested?

Hi everyone, check out my friends movement classes: This is a call to all of those who have the courage to LET GO, (and are ready to have fun!) Move the body, quiet the mind, and free the Spirit....An ecstatic movement experience.. This simple movement class combines Gabrielle Roth's "Sweat your Prayers", Qi Gong, guided meditation, and deep relaxation as a way back to your center; your moving center and the inspiration of the heart. It is movement as medicine. Rooted in the innate wisdom of the body, natural flow of the breath, and pulsing rhythm inherent in all life. It's an opportunity to let go of the mind and allow the body to be moved by rhythm, to disappear into the wave of sound, to offer your bones back to the dance, to offer your sweat as a prayer, and to gather in community to celebrate. To dance this JOY of existence. Please join us, SUNDAY's (April 19 - June 14th) - Liggitt Studio, (next to Tulsa Living Arts) 304 S. Kenosha Ave.(downtown Tulsa) 585-1234 TUESDAY's (April 21 - June 16th) - Studio Bilancia, 4154 S. Harvard, 7:00 - 9:00pm (712-7200)
