Bjork has indeed been influenced by Portishead at one point in her career as her song "Isobel (Portishead Remix)" can tell much about it. Her lyrics and the rhythm in her singing could explain it all. As much as Portishead has surely must been influenced at one point themselves by Bjork. So there's a link as you pointed out. That's what I'm guessing.

Where is happening to kids these days. They got digit cameras at age 13, chill in there middle school lab classroom, have thug caps bigger than their head, hanging on their ears.
