Inner Tunnel is a young band which plays some sort of avant-garde metal/rock with elements from very different kind of styles of music.
It all started as a pure progressive death/doom metal band under the name Bisclavret in summer of 2006. Then the group consisted of three, 15-years-old members: Elias on piano and synths, Niko on guitar and Lauri tried to handle rhythm guitar and vocals. Right from the start, we started making our own songs, practicing them and then recording some of them. Then Arttu joined and his violin and low, clean vocals turned our sound in to more melancholic and dramatic like. Then we got our drummer, Ari. Couple of months later Rosamaria joined and that marked a turning point for Bisclavret. Name was changed to Rosie and the style turned to more progressive and maybe even psychedelic like, but at the same time, our sound changed to more rock/pop oriented. We got Matias to play flute and some guitar solos in some of our songs. We played couple of shows and we were planning to record our first official demo in the summer of 2007. Matias became a fulltime member, but a little time later, we kicked Ari out for several reasons. At that time, our band got many problems. Rosamaria left the band at the end of summer 2007, because of her lack of motivation. In the next months things progressed quite slow. We made some new songs and again: the style changed in to more complicated direction. We went to studio to record two songs in early 2008 and now the situation is good, even though we are not very happy about the outcome.
We are trying to make our own sound, using computer made drums, absurd lyrics about emptiness, love and/of life and puting very different kind of moods and music styles into our music.
