About Tuomas Kylänpää

I have played since 1997. I made my Master’s Graduate Thesis on Australian Aboriginal Musical Rituals at the University of Turku, Department of Cultural Studies, Folklore. I have been honored by the skin name Bangardi given by the White Cockatoos’s Old Jungai. I have been taught by the Yidaki Masters Djalu Gurruwiwi and M*****y Munungurru (Yothu Yindi) at Yirrkala. The Mago Master Darryl Dikkarna Brown has also been teaching me. I have organized three Finland Tours for the White Cockatoo Performance Group and played as a support act during those tours.
