About me:
Hi, I am Andy Bilsborough,
the zoo director who dosent like VISITING Zoo's
(dont ask, its a long story)
Along with my very understanding wife and son we and a dedicated bunch of volunteers run Turbary Woods Owl & Bird of prey Sanctuary.
All the Staff at turbary, including myself are
non paid volunteers,
we rescue and rehabilitate over 100 birds every year.
(that is how my karma is balanced, and i put up with being a zoo keeper)
We offer a unique collection of over 90 birds
All the birds are housed in large open fronted aviaries, sheltered in a woodland setting.
You can experience first hand the breathtaking flight of a falcon
as it flies through the air. Hawks, owls,
and other varieties are flown here at the sanctuary.
We have an isolation unit at the rear of the sanctuary
that is secluded form the public and currently we have all
7 avairies full of wild birdsd on the mend,
waiting to be re-released back into the wild.
