About me:
Howdy!
I'm a 30-something (yikes!) computer programmer living in the lovely, picturesque Seattle suburb of Kirkland, Washington. I've spent most of my professional career working at Microsoft. Late in 2005 I joined the Flight Simulator group which I really consider a dream job, since I had Flight Simulator on my very first computer back in 1988 and have been flying on my computer ever since.
For six-plus years I've been married to my lovely wife Shasta. Our lives are made all the more exciting by my wacky but wonderful set of Tlingit in-laws, who seem to comprise most of my friends list. I wouldn't have it any other way!
I was born in Los Angeles and lived there until I was 15 while my dad toiled away at Hughes Aircraft's Space and Comm group working on some very exciting projects (such as the Voyager probes). It wasn't until I got older that I realized the enormity of what he did all day (more accurately, all night) at work.
My parents live in Oregon, where both were born. In fact most of our travels revolve around driving down there to visit them, with occasional forays to the beautiful Oregon Coast.
Since MySpace isn't the best place to store pictures, we keep our family photo album on our MSN Groups site at http://groups.msn.com/ShastaandPockySouthmayd/pictures.
Some other "interesting" stuff:
If anyone ever tells you that I collect rubber duckies, well ... it's true.

Who I'd like to meet:
Be less annoying than me and we'll get along fine. (Believe me that ain't hard!)
