Turiya Sounds is dedicated to bringing you music for your quest for self-exploration and spirituality.
The label encompasses ambient, downtempo, progressive and psy-trance sounds and the projects range from a product for Yoga to music CDs to music and dance parties.
Work on a product for Vinyasa Yoga self-practice, called Svayam Yoga, is in progress.
The label currently represents Groove Yantra (psy-dub, downtempo) and Sanyama (trance), both projects of Ra (or Rahul) .
At a very young age Ra received training in classical Indian tabla and vocals. Later he picked up the guitar and played in classic and progressive rock bands. He also learnt jazz guitar. He started making electronic music 5 odd years ago.
We are also actively involved in organizing parties in San Francisco and have a downtempo monthly party called Submerge (http://turiyasounds.com/submerge) for art and down/midtempo music lovers.

Mitlerweile zum 5 ten mal findet die INTACT im Februar in einer sehr schönen Location statt ( K-Filmstudios ) mit internationalen acts wie Polaris, der sein neues album vorstellen wird oder Flip Flop, die ihren neuen Sound presentieren werden.Beide Acts sind das erste mal in der Hansestadt :) Auch die Symphonix-Brüder werden das erste mal ihr neues Album in Hamburg presentieren und man darf gespannt sein auf Musik der Spitzenklasse die auf einem hochwertigen Soundsystem presentiert wird.
