About Turn From Despair R.I.P [EP UP FOR DOWNLOAD]
Download The Waking EP Here! This now includes 2 bonus tracks recorded for the next EP.
TURN FROM DESPAIR were a band between 2005 and 2008, banging their heads to the intense fury that was the High Wycombe metal scene along with Truth Will Out, This Dying Hour, Simple Reason, Hollow, Pink Widow Scar The Armada, She Laid To Rest and many more. They managed to land slots alongside bands such as Exit Ten, Shellshock, Out Cry Fire, Malefice, Skirtbox, Profane, First Signs Of Frost, Open The Skies, Sharp End First, Youn Guns, The Elijah, Interlock and many more. Nick Byrne (Vocals), Tom Miles (Drums) and Dylan Smith's (Bass) were in the band throughout the three years, whilst Joey Cottle(Guitar) left to be replaced by Sam Birchall (Guitar) in 2007. They made their way into the studio twice: first to record a demo in before their first show and secondly to record their first EP to be distributed at show there after. The song The Waking received airplay on Total Rock radio to the delight of fans. Sadly the band have parted ways after their last show in April 2008.

Just wondering wht kit you're bringing down we have a small (make that tiny 75 watt bass amp) which isnt ideal but can do the job (just about) and a line 6 spider we can bring. But at the moment we are down a guitar amp so we desperately need at least 1, although we could possibly have that sorted by friday.
As regards to kit our drummer lives in staines so its quite away, so not ideal and we would only like to take ours if its desperately needed, but we have our own breakables.

Equipment sharing: So that the night runs very smoothing, we recommend that you use the myspace links below to organise as much equipment sharing as possible. It is important that only 1 drum kit is used by all 4 bands because of space and strict change over times. Cab sharing is also encouraged. Please make sure you arrange this prior to your night as to avoid any last minute confusion or delay.
The Judging – Crowd Vote: Crowd vote is very important. In the first heats, crowd vote will make up 50% of the final scores. Each member of the public will be asked who they are at the venue to see when they come through the door. This is classed as your crowd vote. Previous methods have included giving out judging forms to everyone but this resulted in too much cheating. In the first heats, the higher the percentage on crowd vote, the more likely it is you will advance. Each heat the crowd vote goes down in percentage.
Judge Scoring : Each judge will score out of the following categories. Stage Presence, Song Quality, tightness, Originality, Sound Quality. (this could change slightly)
Judges: Each heat will be judged by 2-4 judges. The
