Sounds Like
It sounds like bands that really want to rock music, no matter what is punk, rock'n'roll or pop, we play music by passion.
A tous les merdeux de Myspace, lieu de capitalisme exacerbé, et de rendez vous pour les groupes en manque de reconnaissance.
Si j’avais voulu vous parler de rock’n’roll, je vous aurais parlé de The Yardbirds, ces mecs incroyables, ces petits génies défoncés au mandrax qui sont arrivés à fond la gamelle en 65, si foutrement bons que 10 ans plus tard, il y avait encore des gars pour les imiter!
Si j’avais voulu vous parler de punk, je vous aurais parlé de ce punk d’Id et de ses Stooges, avec leur musique erratique, qui sort d’un chaos illettré et qui prend forme peu à peu pour devenir un style personnel unique.
Mais je dois vous parler de Turning Elements, ce groupe de soi-disant rock/punk/pop/emo dont les membres n’arrivent même pas eux-mêmes à se définir !
Inspirés de la multitude de groupes américains "revival punk" (comme ils disent en majors) des années 90 et des groupes fondateurs du mouvement le plus génial depuis l’invention de la guitare, trois merdeux issus du fin fond de la Bretagne, endroit retiré de toute civilisation, ont eu la banale idée de fonder un groupe de rock.
Leur bassiste, Alban, à la voix particulière, oscillant entre les méandres d’un alcoolique en pleine possession de son exercice et un ours en train de muer, est le sage du groupe, pseudo-activiste social à la chevelure hautaine et aux pattes extravagantes.
Leur guitariste, Eric, alias Baby Joe, au timbre de voix digne d’un chanteur de pop à paillettes des années 70 entouré de danseuses défoncées à la poudre et se trémoussant pour provoquer une érection au vocaliste gay, est le doyen et l’élément étrange du groupe, se prenant souvent pour Rivers Cuomo, adepte du barré magique cher aux punk rockers.
Leur batteur, Marc, au style de jeux de baguettes si singulier, également vocaliste avec sa voix sortie des errements d’un panda en plein coït anal, est l’élément instable du groupe, aux humeurs changeantes, au caractère proche d’un névrosé bourré d’amphétamines découvrant la solution d’un sudoku niveau difficile.
Un cocktail de personnalité plutôt déprimant qui nous casse les oreilles et les burnes depuis 2005, année durant laquelle ils ont composé leurs premiers morceaux, ramassis de conneries pré-pubères chantées en anglais sur des thèmes aussi variés et faussement originaux tels que les relations entre mecs et nanas ("Not now", "You don’t interest me"," Jen"… ou sur le quotidien humain, "This life", "Hand’s lines", "Waste my time", …
Se retirant une fois par mois dans les fin fonds du pays des Celtes au milieu de plaines forestières aussi vides que mes couilles après une nuit d’amour avec Sally, la pute de la rue des intellectuels, pour répéter et composer comme ils se plaisent à dire à leurs détracteurs (enfin, si balancer quatre accords de base sur une rythmique aussi chiante qu’un chien en train de pisser sur fond de chant digne d’un Patrick Fiori ayant des hémorroïdes veut dire composer!) dans un studio aussi digne que leurs ambitions !
Après une série de sept concerts (autant dire que ce groupe s’est forgé une réputation sur scène aussi solide que Television à l’époque du CBGB, à savoir mystique) avec en point d’orgue de leur apogée scénique, un concert au mythique Romboz de Quiberon en 2006, qui se définira comme l’exemple ultime de la prestation à ne suivre en aucun cas.
A la différence de The Screamers, désirant laisser une trace de leur vivant, de leur musique, ils osent enregistrer leurs chansons. Ils font alors appel au célèbre producteur Davidovitch, maquereau expert en boucs de métalleux et en pin-up hôtesses de l’air (dont nous vous invitons fortement a visiter la page, un peu de pub ne faisant jamais de mal). Il en résultera un 3 titres pas dégueu, mais qui lors d’une écoute attentive, reflète le manque flagrant de professionnalisme du trio entre fautes d’instruments et de voix sur la corde de la justesse.
Finalement las de leur première vague de compositions, les Turning Elements prennent la décision, non pas de se séparer, mais de faire un break concerts et de se concentrer sur des nouvelles compositions, plus élaborées comme ils aiment à le dire (c’est tout le mal qu’on leur souhaite, on n’avait pas entendu groupe aussi peu créatif depuis Busted, un groupe dont je m’étonne encore comment j’ai pu retenir leur nom !).
Mais ne vous méprenez pas, même si ces trois musiciens n’en sont qu’à leurs prémices des méfais qu’ils peuvent commettre musicalement, cette énième bande de trou du cul qui ose emprunter les conduits sinueux du rock’n’roll m’ont procuré une joie immense et m’ont plongé dans les méandres de mes souvenirs les plus lointains, me rappelant ma jeunesse, écoutant de jeunes groupe parfois plein d’avenir, parfois dénués de tout talents, mais à chaque fois, Ô combien intéressants. Car si leur musique était vraiment immonde et inaudible, inintéressante et pauvre, moi et mon cerveau brillant ne nous serions pas fatigué à tenter de décrypter ce groupe.

Bio of Turning Elements
To all the shitty Myspace users, place of aggravated capitalism, for bands in lack of recognition.
If I had wanted to speak to you about rock 'n' roll, I would have spoken about the Yardbirds, these incredible guys, these small geniuses kicked down with mandrax which knock down everything in 65, so good that 10 years later there were still people to imitate them!
If I had wanted to speak to you about punk, I would have spoken to you about this punk of Id and about his Stooges, with their erratic music, who goes out of an illiterate chaos and who takes shape bit by bit to become a personal unique style.
But I have to speak to you about Turning Elements, this band of one saying rock / punk / pop / emo, the members of which do not manage themselves to define themselves!
Inspired by large part of American bands so-called punk-rock of the 90’s and of the groups founders of the most brilliant movement since the invention of the guitar (The punk movement), shitty three stemming from the fine bottom of Brittany, place removed from any civilization, had the commonplace idea to base a rock’n’roll band.
Their bass player, Alban, with a particular voice oscillating between the meanders of an alcoholic in full ownership of its exercise and a bear moulting, is the wise person of the group, the pseudo social activist with haughty hair and extravagant paws.
Their guitarist, Eric, alias Baby Joe, with a stamp of voice deserving of a singer of pop with glitter of the 70’s surrounded with dancers kicked down in the powder and wiggling to provoke an erection to the gay singer, is the dean and the strange element of the group, often taking itself for Rivers Cuomo, follower of the expensive magic blocked in punk rock musicians.
Their drummer, Marc, in the so singular style plays of sticks, also vocals with his voice taken out of the erring ways of a panda in full anal sexual intercourse, is the unstable element of the group, in the changeable humors, in the character close to a neurotic filled with amphets discovering the solution of one difficult sudoku level.
Personality's cocktail rather depressing which breaks us ears and guts since 2005, year in the course of which they composed their first fragments, pack of bullshit meadow adolescents sung in English on subjects so varied and wrongly original such as relations between fellows and chicks, “Not now”, “You don’t interest me”, “Jen” or on the human every day life, “This life”, “Hand’s lines”, “Waste my time”, …
Withdrawing once a month in the fine capital of the country of the Celts in the middle of forested plains so empty as my testicles after a night of love with Sally, the whore of the street of the intellectuals, to repeat and compose as they like to say to their detractors (finally, if to rock four basic agreements on a rhythmic so bloody as a dog pissing on bottom of singing deserving of a Bob Dylan having haemorrhoids means composing!) in a studio so deserving as their ambitions!
After a series of seven concerts (in other words, we could say that this group built up a reputation on stage so solid as Television when they played at the CBGB, namely mystic) with a pause of their scenic highlight, a concert to the mythical Romboz de Quiberon in 2006, who will define himself as the ultimate example of performance to not to be followed.
Unlike Screamers, wishing to leave a track of living them on their music, they dare to record their songs. They then appeal to the famous producer Davidovitch, a macro expert in billy goats of heavy singers and in pin-up stewardesses. It will result from it one three titles not so bad, but which during an attentive listening, reflect the blatant lack of professionalism of the trio enter for lack of instruments, and voice on the rope of the just.
Finally tired of their first wave of compositions, Turning Elements makes the decision to make a break concerts and to concentrate on new compositions, more elaborated as they like saying it (it is all the evil which we wish them, we had not heard group so little creative since Busted, a group of which I still wonder how I was able to hold their name!).
But be not mistaken, even if these three musicians are there only for their beginnings of the crimes which they can commit musically, this nth band of assholes which dares to borrow the sinuous ways of rock 'n' roll got me a huge enjoyment and plunged me into the meanders of my most distant recollections, reminding my youth, listening to young bands sometimes full of future, sometimes divested of quite talents, but in every faith, how much interesting. Because if their music was really squalid and inaudible, uninteresting and poor, me and my brilliant brain would not be tired us to try to decipher this group.
I thus say to you goodbye, strip of shit, for new musical adventures with Turning Elements.
