Turnip FAQ:
Q: It looks like Turnip is a band. If so, how many people are in Turnip, who are they, and what do they do?
A: Turnip is a band, of sorts. Turnip is more like a project than a band - because there is only one person in Turnip. Tim Glinatsis is the sole member of the Turnip project...which makes him somewhat important to its success. Tim plays lead and rhythm guitars (acoustic and electric), bass, piano and keyboards, drums, and the voice box.
Q: I don't buy anything you've just said. The songs I've heard on Turnipville sound like there four or five people..
A: Thanks to the miracles of modern technology, Tim is able to multi-track all of his music in Turnipville Recordings. In other words, he records one instrument, then records another (etc.), before finally mixing all of the tracks together at the end.
----
Q: It must be tough playing all of those instruments at once during live shows. How's he manage?
A: He doesn't. Tim plays only his acoustic guitar during live performances.
----
Q: Is there ever going to be a full band?
A: Tim remains open to that idea...
----
Q: Does Tim write and sing all of the songs, too?
A: Yep. There are a few exceptions, namely in Tim's occasional use of poetry or lyrics written by friends.
----
Q: What part of the country does Turnip call home?
A: San Diego, CA.
----
Q: Is there some sort of symbolism with the name Turnip?
A: Nope. There is absolutely no symbolism whatsoever.
