Stefanie Petrik was the codename given to one of the largest aeroplane crafts used in the takeover of the Ukraine in 1983. During that fateful year, several other attacks were made out on other large cities with no remorse. Some say that the devastation was the cause of several powerful dictators joining forces to create the most powerful destructive force of that time. No one present during the attacks has ever survived, so the exact description is based on the hearsay of dying victims and family members. Some say she looks like a shiny gray beetle that swims through the sky as if it were water. Others say that she looks like a swarm of lightly coloured balloons that bounce through the dark clouds, gleefully assaulting them with bursts of fire. Some reports also outline something about a giant toilet. Whatever she may look like, plane, rubber, porcelain, plastic or fire, her whereabouts have been unknown for the last 24 years, making this military urban legend one of the strangest and most violent to date.

CONTRAVERSE is an open mic spoken word gig run monthly in Brisbane, Australia. Every 3rd Tuesday of the Month at the Tongue and Groove Cafe, on Hardgrave Street, West End.
While I am away on tour it will be MC-ed by Brent Downes, but the format will be staying the same. So bring out all your poems, and all your personalities and get drunk at Brisbane's hottest bar for poetry! When I get back I expect to see a bunch of new faces, and the more seasoned kids better be laughing, dancing and falling over.
