Turtleboy is comprised of Jonathan Lindhorst on Saxophone, Ryan Butler on Guitar/Effects and Adam Miller on Drums/Percussion/Vox. Inspired by such great musicians as Paul Motian, Joe Lovano, Bill Frisell, Wayne Krantz, and Jim Black, these three musicians combine free collective jazz and instrumental rock to make a truly unique style of music.
In 2007, Turtleboy was voted Montreal's 2 Jazz act by the Montreal Mirror's Best of Montreal Readers Poll. Since then they have released their debut album, performed over fifty times across the nation and have participated in world renowned programs including The Banff Centre's Career Development Residency and Dave Douglas' International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music.
Turtleboy's debut self-titled album is now on sale online and the band is now hard at work on their next one.

strangely, it's far easier to find turtle paraphernalia than alligator things. Turtles are everywhere, but no one makes alligator action figures or the like, much less tiny ones. We wish we were you.
I LOVE THIS SHIT. FANTASTIC! You deserve those grants you applied for, and I say that with all sincerity because you know I really don't like you that much. WOW guys. Good werk.
