Welcome to the MySpace of the Tuscarawas River
Band, a family band from Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The TRB is made up of Brian
Johnson, Corey McCahill, Jamie McCahill, and George Cottrell.
Originally formed by a group of whitewater raft
guides around the campfires outside of Buena Vista, Colorado, the Tuscarawas
River Band has matured into a professional national act with a unique refined
sound. The TRB is known to play catchy, original tunes, mix in a variety of
popular music in their own peculiar way, and create surprising transitions
between different genres of music. Armed with both acoustic and electric
instruments, the TRB sound is a blend of bluegrass, funk, reggae, rock, blues,
country, and traditional folk songs. Still true to the high lonesome sound of
their acoustic beginnings, the TRB also explores the electric possibilities, in
the process creating their own unique brand of mountain music. Backed by three
part harmonies, a powerful yet versatile rhythm section, funky bass lines,
earthy bluegrass rhythms, and the explosive crunch of electric blues guitar, the
TRB always keeps audiences on their toes.
The TRB has taken many forms over the years, but
three of the original five founding members still remain keeping that unique TRB
sound still alive.
From 2000 to 2003, the TRB embarked on a
national tour that became known as the Full Cirle Tour. The Full Circle tour
booked the TRB at venues such the Rico Theater in Rico, Colorado, the Agora
Theater in Cleveland OH, and the Newport Theater in Columbus, OH just to name
the favorites. The TRB shared the stage with artists such as Carlos Santana, the
late Vassar Clements, Jerry Joseph, Col. Bruce Hampton, and Ekoostic Hookah
among many others.
As of lately, the TRB has added a new member to
the TRB family...George Cottrell on bass. Welcome George. Hope you enjoy the
ride. Be sure to catch the TRB at a venue near you!

Hello. My Name Is Alyosha Het. I Think You're Fantastic & Would Like To Shake Your Intangible Hand. I Think The Intangible Quasi-Hug Would Be A Bit Forward Of Me At This Juncture.
Pray, pray all your troubles away Take them to Jesus, He'll take them away Pray, pray all your troubles away Take them to Jesus, He'll take them away
Your husband's not working Your rent's overdue... You're trying to quit smoking Your crabby and blue... You burn the fried chicken Well, what do you do? You pray, pray all your troubles away!
Bring Him your burdens Cause His yoke is light Go to Him always And He'll make things right Spend time in His Word...every night And pray, pray all your troubles away!
