Tusken Coalition's music itself pays homage to the days of original concepts with a direct approach to true music. Believe us, keep your ear to the ground for the rumble of the distant drums, the darkness is coming to bring forth the light…
The Original Group consisted of 3 core members Sinic (Iron Monkey Vocalist) Lethargy (Non-Thespian &Lyricist Hobos) & Dieverse (lyricist Hobos) and from the most basic of starting points Tusken was a tool for experimenting with music and the use of spoken word, Sinic had been working on new tracks and the first recordings took place at Thumb Studio’s in Nottingham, At that point the recording was for personal use, to gain an insight into how the group sounded and what improvements could be made.
Sinic took time out from writing beats which left Lethargy and Dieverse to practice and develop the lyrics and foundations of their rhyme styles, after a short absence there was a sudden influx of new material which Sinic had been quietly sitting on. The new batch of tunes were recorded up at Prisitine studios by The Moot Group and one of the tracks recorded was to be Confrontation (Sinics last track) which Feat Duke01 of Non-Thespian which was submitted to a mix tape that Tim Westwood was putting together although it never saw the light of day until it was released as a bonus track On Non-Thespians Proto-Typical E.P, After the untimely passing of Sinic in 2002.
The project was put on hold but still Lethargy & Dieverse made music sporadically and also supported RJD2 on his Nottingham leg of his UK tour. Though it was not until late 2006 when it was decided that there was enough material to go ahead and release a full album The 7 year project “Self-Titled” is testimony to that which is set to be legendary in its own right. It combines the production work of Sinic, dWyZaK tHe ElEvAtOr, Blugrass, The Moot Group & Basilica and also features vocal appearances from 8ch Of UK Grindcore act Phantom Limb, Treble7 of the Round Table and guest spots from R.J Chisholm of Old Basford.
