Emerson Borbor Bele' sacks manager, BoloSet to release Two-Foot Arata'

Emerson Bockarie of Borbor Bele' fame has sacked his manager and president of Supreme Inc Record label, Lawrence Spencer- Coker aka Bolo, Concord Times can authoritatively reveal.Emerson has warned Bolo to desist from negotiating music contracts on his behalf.Bolo is no longer my manager. I have no business with him, Emersion said and noted that the contract between the two of them is over.The Borbor Bele' star fell out with his manager upon their return from the US recently. Asked what prompted the separation between the two, Emerson declined to comment but maintained that he parted ways with Bolo as a result of corruption.When Concord Times put it to him that it as because he did not rip anything from their concerts in the United States of America and any royalties from the sale of his debut album Borbor Bele,' Emersion replied, that is between the two of us and that is what people are saying. All what I know is that Bolo has ceased to be my manager. Supreme Inc sources disclosed that after the tour Bolo was busy manufacturing all sorts of reasons as to why he should not give anything to the musician from the proceeds they made from the tour.Reports reaching Concord Times' Gospel of Entertainment from Cassette Sellers Association maintain that the royalties Emerson's Borbor Bele' album accrued was allegedly siphoned by Bolo.Bolo Thursday downplayed the issue saying the story is not worth publishing when contacted by Concord Times.I am a journalist. I was not sacked by Emersion, he said and noted that people don't seem to understand the issues surrounding the whole deal.I am still the president of Supreme Inc, Bolo fumed and stated that when the British football icon, David Beckham moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid no one was sacked.
He explained that Emerson has a choice to leave Supreme Inc for any another record label and argued that the artiste released his video compact disc Monday under a different record company.Meanwhile the long awaited second album of Emersion Two- Foot Arata' will be released very soon, he told listeners of Night Line' UN Radio this week.Emerson rose to stardom in late 2004 when his album Borbor Bele' was released. He is now a household name in the country.

Emerson Amidu Bockarie was born on December 23, 1977. He sort of stumbled into the music scene when his program at the university he attended was temporarily shut down in the middle of the semester in 2003. His first song U Go See Am was an instant hit as he directly called out the corrupt and cross-related that to the hunger, suffering, filth, poverty, et al, that besiege Sierra Leone. This song was later nominated for best single in the respectable Sierra Leonean Premier Music Awards (PMA) in 2004. Shortly after that he wrote Borbor Bele depicting a corrupt civil servant or non-governmental organization employee who steals public resources. You can understand then why an attempt was made to ban the Borbor Bele title track in Sierra Leone. In spite of all that the song, by public demand received unprecedented airplay. The rest has been history!
Emerson just recently released his debut music video reflecting most of the songs on the Borbor Bele album and showed us a taste of his reggae potential. The music videos themselves clearly depict vivid scenes of life in Sierra Leone as we know it. And with the musics message directly linked to the scenery in the videos it makes the DVD a very interesting viewing, likened to how his CD was interesting listening.
The young artist himself would like to be remembered as patriotic national of Sierra Leone who did his own part to bring positive change to Sierra Leone. And there is no doubt, he is stirring up a sense of NATIONALISM in Sierra Leoneans, especially those of us in the Diaspora.
