Mo comes from Minneapolis Minnesota. Started taking improv training at Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop in 1984. Quickly moved in to the touring Co. and then the Resident Co. where she wrote and performed sketch and improv. Mo spent 2 years (89', 90') living in Orlando FL. wher she helped to found the Pleasure Island Comedy Warehouse improv show. The first all improvised show at Disney.
From 91-96 Mo Collins went back to her Minnesota roots to build a family and a more solid resume before heading out to Los Angeles in 97'. In June of 97', Mo packed up a truck, her 2 year old son, and headed out West. Within a year she landed her place on MAD TV where she created such memorable characters as Lorraine Swanson, Doreen Larkin, and Trina Moss...among many impressions as well. Since leaving MAD TV after 6 seasons she has found herself in varied TV and FILM projects. Mo is currently stepping into the world of stand-up and is taking it by storm! She is also in the process of filming a pilot for FOX which will hopefully be airing Midseason. (It is currently untitled). Look for Mo in the stand-up clubs, as well as a handful of upcoming films, and of COURSE....TV...........

On Monday, August 18th at 9 PM, The lovely and talented Mo Collins will be lighting up the iO WEST stage in Hollywood in The Armando Show. Mo will take a suggestion from the audience and use it as inspiration to tell personal stories which will, in turn spur iO WEST’s veteran improvisers, to perform a series of hilarious scenes on the spot that will keep the laughter coming.
The Armando Show begins with one suggestion from the audience, which is then interpreted by that night's Armando (frequently a celebrity guest) through a personal and truthful improvised monologue. Inspired by that monologue, a cast composed of veteran Chicago and Los Angeles alumni perform scenes which, in turn inspire a response from Armando. This propels hilarious interchanges between Armando's monologues and the company's scenes.
Hosted By: Improv Olympic When: Monday Aug 18, 2008 at 9:00 PM Where: iO West MainStage 6366 Hollywood Blvd Hollywood, CA 90028 United States Description: Improv Olympic
I see you posted the Sex Stand Up and Rock and Roll Show. I still have to talk to the producer and see if you're confirmed. Do you have a back ground in comedy?
