I've been making a lot of music for a long time, and have enjoyed every moment of it! Some projects of mine:
Lions, Sheep, and Trains: An early album from high school, singer/songwriter vocal and piano. Songs about bulleys. Quite cute. Available for free download here.
Acknowledgements: A combination of a lot of new influences for me, released in 2006. Available for free download here.
Tall Ships: A band with kickass musicians, JJ Beck (drums), Sam Clement (guitar), Maia Friedman (voice), and Alex Powell (violin). We did a tour in January/February of 2007 and had a great time. We also released an album, available for free download here.
Plants and Bodies: My current release, made in 2008. It is the combination of two song cycles. You can listen to it here, and you can buy a digital copy of it at that same link, or a physical copy of it here.
Which brings me to my record label, of which I co-manage. There is a lot of great music coming out of it, I think! If you are bored, you should check it out.
I composed and performed a new song cycle, Growth and Decay, which was performed on May 20th at Bennington College as my senior thesis. There are videos of this performance here, and audio recordings to stream here . As of now, I am not sure what is going to become of the recordings, so stay tuned for that!
I am currently working on the next album, Hard Times, which I hope to release this September. That's all I can say about it right now, but I am really excited about it!
This October, Tavo Carbone and I are tentatively doing a pretty extensive tour, as you will see below. We have some contacts, confirmations, and the like, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Just send me a message, or email at trevor.yes at gmail.com.
Thanks for your attention and curiosity! Hope to see you soon!
yay for the money, money song! i think i heard this in its first stages at a music workshop or something...and always wanted to hear it again. it sounds awesome with a female voice. yay!
next time it comes around I'll buy you a pack of Sam Adams Imperial Stout. Whether or not you're there to drink them is up to you, but they'll be drunk up way or another
I send you love from VT that will hopefully warm your bones beyond what you already feel in Costa Rica.
Also, you should plan to play a show before March 4th. This is when I leave and after your last show, well... I just wish there were more things that made me feel that way. Your music makes me feel renewed.
