Band Members Lisa fronts the group and leads the boys onstage. She has a natural gift for stirring things up, and has been writing and performing since her pre-pubescent days.

Her raspy delivery and natural twangy tremolo deliver the goods and shape the Dragons’ sound. What’s more, her song “Strong Love” is currently under contract in Nashville.

Why is the bass player always the coolest guy in the band? Well, why question it. We're just glad to have one as cool as Markie.

After traveling throughout the '80s as a drummer in Bentley Rose, Mark switched to bass and performed and recorded with several regional acts, including the power trio Severe, featuring former Bo Deans drummer Bo Connlin. Mark’s forte is strong pop-hooks and tight vocal arrangements. And a bitchin' selection of hats!

Refusing to adopt an easier-to-pronounce stage name, Mr. Defebaugh has been banging and beating (take that any way you want) since he was a "twee" one, from Milwaukee to San Francisco and several points in between.

Heavily influenced by the drumming of Queen’s Roger Taylor, Scott is also a strong lead singer in his own right. He thanks the Dragons for taking him (and his wonder cat, Bailey) in.

A product of the country music-laden hills of Bristol, Tennessee, Tommy grew up on hillbilly music but turned his back on it when he got his first Marshall amp off layaway.

Several bands later, the chance to write and perform with the Dragons has brought him back around. He lives in constant fear that his hillbilly accent might also return.

Here's what our latest review (in Vintage Guitar Magazine) had to say about it:

"It’s hard not to love a record that starts with guitars twangin’ and slidin’ and the line, “I’ve got an ass pocket full of whiskey.” Not only that, the second verse of “Get In (Or Get Out of the Way)” starts with, “We got Jerry Reed on the 8-track.”

Tommy Dixon, who wrote those lines, also plays guitar and proves adept at various styles of country. He’s obviously a Tele guy, as “Drinkin’ About You” readily displays with country boogie full of killer bends, double-stops, and the kind of behind-the-nut magic that screams Telecaster. Dixon and the band, which features Lisa Hannon on vocals, get to show their skills at other forms of Americana music, too. “Quiver” is the kind of pop-country that’s about as radio friendly as can be, with Dixon’s fine leads and guest pedal steel from Mike Soffa. “Cliche” is a honky-tonk killer with a very funny lyrical jab at those who stereotype people who play country music. “Pennies” supplies more twangin’ – so much that Dixon makes note before the song hits stride, announcing, “I never play the chords in this song!” And he’s right. But he plays everything else with fills and solos pushing the song along. This is country the way it should be played.

Not a bad review for four yokels from the midwest!

Now then, about the live show: want to have a rip-roarin', down and dirty, greasy good time? You want to see the Twang Dragons. We've been tearing up stages big and small for a while now, with self-penned tunes that fall somewhere between Johnny Cash and Tom Petty. Or think maybe John Hiatt or Steve Earle meets Chrissie Hynde if she sang all twangy-like.

Critics have called our music such things as a little bit country, a little bit fire-breathin' serpintine grooving rocker and a combination of professional chops and let-it-all-hang-out abandon. But whatever you call it, it's performed by musicians who write it and play it like they mean it. Because we do.

And yes, we also toss in some select covers by some folks you'll recognize and others you might not but should. From the man in black to criminally underappreciated talents like Robbie Fulks, John Sieger and Lucinda Williams.

And remember our guarantee double your twang back if you're not fully satisfied with any performance. So git on out! ..

CountryHome Forum, http://groups.myspace.com/CountryHomeMagazine , is one of the biggest Forum for country music in Europe and part of CountryHome, www.countryhome.de , Germany's Premier Online Country Music Magazine.

CountryHome Forum have more than 5,000 members. Each news you submit to CountryHome Forum will released to my weekly Newsletter with more than 50,000 readers.

Please submit your artist news and events to CountryHome Forum to help your artists to get well known better in Europe. If you do not have the time to submit your artist news and events by yourself, please send it me to: Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de and I will submit them by myself to CountryHome Forum.

I know that many artists from North America don't have their music videos uploaded to German video websites. The most popular websites are MyVideo.de and ClipFish.de. That means your European audience does not have the chance to find them.

I understand that most of you don't speak German and are not able to upload videos because of the language barrier. If you would like me to upload your videos to the German video websites, please let me know.

Thanks

Christian
