Fiddle tunes, vintage rock and roll, jazz, funk, surf, and theme music... tied tight with TWANG!!
Mixing colors well-established in their hues more often than not produces nothing more than a muddy hue of the dominant color. On the other hand, sometimes the right - if there is such a thing - combination of these colors provide a tension and separation that adds depth to the work and immediately distinguishes it from other forms in the genre.
Applying this principle to music, take a rhythm section anchored in hard rock and country punk, a guitarist brought up on blues and hooked on jazz tinged surf and soul grooves, and a fiddle player with an old time Appalachia family band foundation, and you'd think you'd have four guys who couldn't clap to the same rhythm.
With their second recorded effort, Big Bend, Twanguero continues their road tested tradition of unclassifiable, non-categorical twang with fourteen new, all-original tunes inspired by the sounds of the American southwest. Rough, rowdy, occasionally soft & bouncy, and other times snarling and raunchy… Check out Twanguero!
"Wow! Another magnificent group of instros from Twanguero! They are not a surfband, but the glory of the blend of superb violin and exceptionally good guitar in front of superb bass and drums is more than I can resist! I love this band!"

“Well now! Twanguero is an entirely new breed. Big Texas twang, superb violin, surf, and a whole lot more. Their sound is big, intense, sweeping, panoramic, and totally compelling. If you are at all adventurous, this is highly recommended.” www.reverbcentral.com
“An Austin supergroup of sorts, Twanguero combine the Southwestern style of Calexico with the energy and originality of locals the Asylum Street Spankers. Always good!”....www.do512.com

Dear {NAME}, I am writing to offer comfort to you in the wake of the hurricane. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I wrote a song several years ago about surviving a hurricane called "The Way Through." If you think it might bring some solace and strength, please feel free to give it a listen on my page. Hope this finds you safe and well. peace, Paul Kuhn
