"haunting, moody, darkly romantic and morosely beautiful....some of the most highly creative, expertly played musical hybrids within the ethereal realm....Twelfth of Never are clearly poised to become the next reigning darlings in the underground ethereal world" ~Mike Ventarola, Starvox zine
Twelfth of Never formed in late 1997, originally as a five-piece, consisting of Matthew Davis (keyboards, drum machine programming and sequencing, male vocals), Keith A. Landry (guitar), Ron Miles (bass), Chris Posco (guitar), and Robin Tinker (lead vocals and recorder). The musical stylings of Twelfth of Never falling somewhere in the vein of dark ethereal-rock with a classic gothic feel.
Within the eleven years of the band's existence, we have had two albums released (Blowing Bubbles Through Broken Windows self-released in 1999, and Things That Were, released on the Dark Symphonies label in 2003, three compilation appearances, numerous live shows around our native New England, and several band members come and go. Our most recent lineup included founders Ron, Keith, and Matthew, and a string section duo in the form of violinist, Aurora, and cellist, Anne Marie, and in 2008-09 our lead vocalist was Kimberly Burk (formerly of Seven Sunless Days). As of July 2009, we are in the middle of another line-up change (Kim, Anne Marie, and Keith have all called it a day), all the while in the middle of our long delayed third album. The good news: Robin Tinker has returned!! We are bound and determined to release SOMETHING by the end of 2009. The band is fractured badly, but has not yet reached the final curtain. We will release new music with our final breath.

now i finally own also Blowing Bubbles...! ok, i'll be honest: i don't like it as much as Things that Were, except for I Shall Not Care. About that, i'd like to ask you where's that dialogue at the beginning taken from! it's very fitting and it adds a kind of "epic melancholy" to the wonderful start of the song.
always waiting for news of course! have a nice day, a.
