TWENTYINCHBURIAL (also known as 20IB) is a name that speaks for itself in the Portuguese metal/rock scene, delievering crucial and influential records since its inception.

Formed in 2000 by guitarist Ricardo Correia and former drummer Luís Tavares, the band soon understood their logical path to make significant records, based on a solid structure of integrity and preserverance, despite always walking with a dark cloud upon their heads.

The band emerged from the hardcore scene with their groundbreaking record THE VOID WE CARRY in 2002, released by Spains Underhill Records, and latter re-issued by Ragingplanet in 2003, with a brand new re-master and bonus tracks, the record also features the debut for singer Rui Brás that did not feature on the seminal split cd with Belgiums PN from 2001. 2004 settles the confirmation of TWENTYINCHBURIAL with the already classic HOW MUCH WILL WE LAUGH AND SMILE album, produced by Spanish rock guru Santi Garcia, the band steps into a whole new level of creativity and sheer conviction of what path to follow, the album got huge reviews all over the globe, earning the band a deal with American label Immigrant Sun Records, as well as shows across France, Spain, Germany and United States Of America.

After relentless touring in their native Portugal and abroad, the band got linked to American label State Of Mind Records and joins with New Jerseys WITH RESISTANCE to release another split cd in 2005.

2006 sets the definitive landmark for TWENTYINCHBURIAL, with the acclaimed RADIOVENOM release, this time produced by superstar Danish veteran TUE MADSEN at Antfarm Studios in Aarhus, Denmark. The band confirms all the talent and aims for important festivals such as Super Bock/Super Rock, Vilar De Mouros, as well as sold out shows across Portugal, and the signing with Dutch Label GSR Records.

Along the way the band as supported and shared the stage with bands such as Down, Sick Of It All, Gallows, Converge, Cro-Mags, Raised Fist, No Turning Back, Kylesa, Polar Bear Club, Jr Ewing, For The Glory, The Ghost Of A Thousand, First Blood, Raunchy, The Haunted, Mastodon, Hateshpere, 3 Inches Of Blood, Himsa, Illdisposed, Raunchy, Days In Grief, Bridge To Solace, Born From Pain, Maroon, Korn, Soulfly, Within Temptation, Reveal, Reprisal, Chimaira, ILL Nino, Ratos De Porão, Tribute To Nothing, Waterdown, The Destiny Program, Moonspell and several others.

By the begining of 2007 the band calls it a day, and dives into a hiatus for as long as it goes, and in 2010 reunites again with no defined plan on the horizon, so lets enjoy the ride while it lasts.......
