Hello All As most of you know I have been working with Greater Los Angeles Save Darfur to produce Songs For Darfur to help with raising awareness and aid for those from Darfur Sudan where 400,000 have died and 2.5 million have become refugees. With this event we hope to raise funds to build a secondary school in the refugee camp, Kounoungo. The more people that we get to come to the event, the greater chance we have at reaching our goals. Please consider forwarding our e-mailable flyer to your e-mail list and/or printing our other flyer and distributing around your area. Any help with getting the word out would be greatly appreciated. Event details posted below. Thank you, Karine www.songsfordarfur.org 310-428-9351

Funds raised will go to build a secondary school in the refugee camp, Kounoungo in Chad. This would give many children hope and save lives by preventing young children from venturing back into Darfur in search of educational possibilities, where they are at risk of being killed or recruited as child soldiers. A secondary school would not only give hope and education but the real potential to affect their own destiny.
