About me:

Mélanie Gagnon aussi connue sous le nom de Mélane, est auteure compositeur interprète, pianiste et productrice, ayant 2 albums à son actif. Depuis l’âge de quatre ans, Mélane chante dans les bars, restaurants, festivals, revues musicales, casinos et peaufine son art de l’interprétation et de la composition. Michel Desjardins, musicien professionnel depuis plus de vingt cinq ans, pianiste, claviériste, arrangeur, compositeur, a déjà une fiche de route impressionante. Plus de 4000 spectacles présentés, il a accompagné et joué avec presque toute la brochette artistique québécoise (Marie Carmen, Bruno Pelletier, Dan Bigras, Elvis Story...) à la télévision, sur CD, en salle de spectacle, festivals et autres. Il a collaboré avec Luc Plamondon sur Notre-Dame-de-Paris et Starmania. La musique a fait voyager Michel dans vingt-cinq pays à travers le monde. Twice a pris naissance en janvier 2002. Twice possède un répertoire des plus varié : jazz, pop, blues, latin, chansons françaises, chansons québécoise, musique classique, ainsi qu’un répertoire séquencé pour soirées de danses. Ils peuvent faire de vos coktails, 5 à 7, soupers et soirées dansantes, l’ambiance et la qualité d’un événement plus que réussit. La formation s’est produite dans de grands hotels dont le Ritz Carleton, Hotel de la Montagne, Paradise Hotel en Corée du Sud, Casino de Charlevoix, casino de Montréal, Monarch Hotel à Dubai et Fairmont hotel Dubai (semaine de Célébrations du Canada), Club Med, grands restaurants (Pub City, Zibo, Aqua, Huston…), salles de spectacles, soirées corporatives, clubs privés, coktails, etc. Twice est reconnu pour leur concept d’interprétations originales et leurs performances qui vous donnent toujours droit à un spectacle de haute qualité. Michel Desjardins has proven his talent for over 20 years on the most renowned concert stages in Québec and internationally. We have seen him perform at the Olympia in Paris, at the Montreal Forum, at the Capitol in Québec and with the Symphonic Orchestra of Sibiu in Romania. Michel has played his music in over 25 countries around the world. We have seen him play the piano and keyboards on many tours with well-known artists such as Bruno Pelletier, Dan Bigras, Marie Carmen and Elvis Story. Moreover, Michel Desjardins has been the musical director as well as played piano and keyboards to accompany more well-known artists for television shows: Garou, Isabelle Boulay, Robert Marien, Mario Pelchat, Richard Séguin, Michel Rivard, Claude Dubois, Laurence Jalbert, Nanette Workman, Marjo, Éric Lapointe, Luce Dufault, Daniel Boucher, Michelle Richard and many more. He has also collaborated with Luc Plamaondon for the production of Notre Dame de Paris, Starmania, Star Academie as well as many others. Today, he plays piano to accompany modern dance classes at the University of Quebec in Montreal and at the Montreal Modern Dance Studio. Michel also composes, produces and performs for modern and contemporary dance shows for the Eloize Circus as well as on many albums. In the last few months, He worked on few albums. Michel did the arrangments of two projects (Carte Blanche, his formation and Michele Richard, a popular singer of Quebec). He work also on Melany’s cd. Michel has played on many boat cruises in Montreal and around the world: Rotterdam VI and Zuiderdam (Holland America), Americanis and the Victorai (Chandris), Crystal Harmony (Crystal), New Orleans, Cavalier Maxime (Crosières AML). Since 2002, he has been performing in a duo (vocals and piano) called TWICE with Mélane interpreting Jazz, Popular, Dance, Blues, Rock’n’Roll, Rythum’n’Blues, Latino and Classical music. Michel Desjardins has performed in over 3000 shows including 700 with his Jazz trio. Michel Desjardins is one of the most experienced pianists in Quebec. He manifests a real passion, a rare improvising spontaneity and he excels in all musical styles. Mélane is a self-taught artist, author composer and performer. She started performing at a very young age in clubs in her hometown of Abitibi. AT the age of 6, she recorded her first single and performed every weekend. Always having passion for music, she continued to perform wherever possible after moving to the Laurentiennes. She has participated in many contests, musical reviews, telethons and shows of all kinds. Mélane found herself in the top 10 finalists in Québec for Cegep en Spectacles in 1995. She was also a semi-finalist at the Granby Festival in 1997. In the meantime, she was performing in a Rock’n’Roll band as a main vocalist and back vocals throughout Quebec. She began to write her own texts and compose her music in hopes of getting her material known and appreciated. In 1999, she landed a contract in a show that was produced in Japan in the cities of Tokyo and Osaka. Later, she produced her own shows. In 2000-2001, she invested and produced her first album. From November 2001 to March 2002, Melane performed in over 95 shows in New Hampshire and Atlantic City. She returned to the United States shortly after (September 2002 and 2003) to perform in a musical review for 6 weeks. Between Her originals shows, musical revue Time Machine and Twice, She produce and realize her second albums. She work with the best musicians in Montreal ( Rick Haworth, Marc Bonneau, Maurice Soso) and record the album at Montana Studio. Renowned for her undeniable charisma, her warm, versatile, yet unique, voice, Mélane seduces her public with her original interpretations. She excels in all musical styles: Jazz, Blues, Pop, latino, Country, etc. She has been performing in a duo with pianist Michel Desjardins for the last six years in over 1000 shows. The quality of their repertoire, their energy, and their musical and vocal performances as well the originality of their interpretations sets them apart from many other groups.
