Laz’s career started at Rider University & Ramapo College where he is a founding member of “The Peanut Gallery” the college’s first comedy troupe. Laz wrote, produced and
acted in the original sketch comedies ranging from satire to musicals.
In New York City he found work with several theater companies becoming a member and resident director.
He portrayed comedian Freddie Prinze in the play “Great Comedians of Color” and was so influenced by Prinze’s passion he began doing stand-up. Soon he became a fixture on the NY comedy circuit.
Laz has earned kudos for his performance in the winner of
the 2007 HBO NYILFF best short film “REWIND.” And was a featured comedian in the 2007 Hollywood Latino
Laugh Festival.
An East coast native who grew up in NJ/NY Laz has relocated from the big apple to the golden state where he is currently working the comedy club scene.
