Twilight was formed in 2007 by Joana Martins (vocals and keyboards), Luís Martins (guitars and vocals) and Paulo Martins (drums).
Twilight music is powerful and dense, simultaneously mystic and melodious, with Joana's singular voice leading us through a musical trail where everything seems to make sense. Their songs are breathtaking, sometimes crystalline[...] The global sonority of the band impresses for the coherence in the mixture of the aesthetic elements. Without overdosing guitars, monotonic verses or long and annoying chorus, Twilight show a rare maturity for a newcomer band. Modern and original.
The first work of this project, "Mudridge: Beyond the Edge", is a story of a small and lost village, its inhabitants and their thoughts. Each song explores a different character but, as we keep listening through the whole album, we can find interdependences and complementarities, creating a very interesting global dimension to follow. A mix of fantasy and reality, Mudridge is a metaphor of a forgotten community.
