THE LITTLE 5 POINTS HALLOWEEN PARADE 2008
For 2008, we made our show, CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE, the focus of our float! We showcased our 7ft tall CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE book complete with TWO COVERS! One side was ATLANTIS and the other was SPACE-- two actual choices you could've ventured to during the show!
We here at TWINHEAD THEATRE are extremely excited about the next 9 months. We're on a hiatus, as far as original live stage shows goes, but we're going to be well busy focusing our attention on becoming an official 501c-3 Non-Profit organization! We are already writing grants to raise money for Twinhead Theatre: The Space! This space will not only be home to yours truly but will be a community arts center of sorts offering classes and performance space for anyone interested in showcasing their talent, be it performance, music, art, WHATEVER YOUR HEART DESIRES! We are archiving all material from past shows, organizing our HUGE and growing collection of props, costumes, and tools, and compiling and formatting all of our original plays so they can be copyrighted and shared with the rest of the world! On top of all that, we are giving ourselves a face lift with a new official website and new LOGO to be unveiled sometime this year!! PHEW!
If you just CAN'T live without us, watch us on our YouTube channel! We plan on posting original short films and possibly an original web series this year!
Stay tuned for updates on our progress! We have a lot to do but we're determined and dedicated to bringing you the original performance art, plays, and music you've come to love from Twinhead! And if you think you may be able to assist us during this transition, i.e. you're a lawyer or accountant, graphic designer, real estate expert willing to work pro bono, please contact us here on MySpace!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Thank you, all of you, for making Twinhead Theatre what it is today! And for giving us the opprotunity to build and grow for an EVEN better tomorrow!
Much love and appreciation, TWINHEAD THEATRE
p.s. Sorry for all the !!!s. We really ARE excited. :)
Yeah, we're going balls out.

Twinhead Theatre and Performance Group is comprised of 13 actors and artists who love to produce and develop pieces that ask audiences not to leave the event or performance at the door, but to take it with them for creative fuel. We’re interested in re-envisioning existing plays and taking on brand-new work yet to be seen in Atlanta.
In the past 5 years, you may have caught us sitting in cakes for a food drive, spinning fire at Freedom Park, running downtown as a band of Yeti, and performing orginal show after original show. We are beginning a new chapter in our lives as a theatre company and we not only ask you for your support but invite you to grow along with us!! Think BIG in '09!

THANKS ATLANTA for making this super, mega, huge show a SOLD OUT show every night!
We joined fraternal twins, Clay and Judy, through time and space when their school field trip to the local science lab went horribly wrong! With the help of nutty Dr. Hardly Wright they took a dip in Hitler's swimming pool, helped Cortez trick the Aztecs, and narrowly escaped John Wayne Gacy's basement (and soooo many others!) just to get back home!! If you missed this one, you're a real fuddy duddy.
TIME FOR A TED KENNEDY FLASHBACK SCENE! Shot in HD! WOWZERS! And check out that smokin' soundtrack.

Opening the show and kicking things off is J.R. RUND & THE HOLD UP. Marietta's J.R. Rund is an up and coming singer/songwriter who crafts songs in the vein of such prolific artists as Tom Petty and Ryan Adams. His songs are structured around a classic pop formula, but infused with a country, soul, and gospel sensibility. Notable influence from bands like The Wallflowers, Wilco, and Gram Parsons is evident upon the initial listen.
Following next is a band from Winston-Salem, NC -- CALEB CAUDLE & THE BAYONETS. Independent Weekly describes the band's sound as "The sweet spot between alt.country and roots pop."
The second half of the night strays from the roots-pop/ alt. country/ americana/ folk sound that the previous two bands offer and delves more into the territory of an electro-acoustic type of sound. Atlanta's SONEN takes the stage afterward. Recently receiving the Creative Loafing Reader's Choice Award for "Best Local Indie-Rock Act of Atlanta 2008" and previously obtaining the title of "Best Electronic Artist of 2006" for the same publication, Sonen is quickly becoming one of the city's most promising acts.
Closing out the night is WOVEN, a live electronic band from Los Angeles that takes a variety of influences ranging from Squarepusher, The Notwist, Massive Attack, and Slowdive. Touring in support of their latest release, "Designer Codes" will not disappoint!
At Eyedrum (www. eyedrum. org) on Wednesday November 20th at 7:30 pm, for $5.00, The Nonsense Company presents "Great Hymn of Thanksgiving / Conversation Storm", an award-winning pair of urgently intricate pieces blurring the boundary between experimental theater and avant-garde music, both written by internationally-known composer and company member Rick Burkhardt.
"Great Hymn of Thanksgiving" takes place at a dinner table, where the sounds of conversation have been replaced with fragmented news reports, scraps from the Army prayer manual, faux-Middle-Eastern folk tales, and disembodied cries of emergency. The sculpted sounds of the table itself — scooting chairs, singing wineglasses, squeaking forks — force this “conversation” into a confrontation with material reality.
In "Conversation Storm", three friends from three sides of the political spectrum unwillingly argue their way through a ticking time bomb scenario, revising, dissecting, and even brutalizing their own positions in the process — but time has either stopped or entered an ugly loop, and as the friends assign and reassign roles, the scenario begins to dissolve the boundaries between real and hypothetical, past and future, day and night.
