Lion Music are pleased to announce the release of the second album from progressive metallers Twinspirits. The new album “The Forbidden City” is set for release on September 11th 2009 and builds upon the sound heard on the bands 2007 debut “The Music That Will Heal The World” (Lion Music). “The Forbidden City” takes the progressive metal approach of the debut and adds more musical depth, more memorable songs along with the ever present sublime musicianship featuring some of the genres best musicians. A key feature of the new album is the band’s new Swedish vocalist Göran Nyström, whose stunning range, power and projection has propelled the bands trademark mix of technical progressive metal with strong song structures and melodic elements onto a higher level.
Twinspirits is the latest move in Daniele Liverani's career.
This project was born back in 2004 and comes with the purpose of creating a band that really can break through in the progressive music world!
Gathering all the suitable elements that could fit his musical plans, Daniele recruited Dario Ciccioni on drums, guitar player Tommy Ermolli, bassist Alberto Rigoni and singer Søren Adamsen.
The first studio album called “The Music That Will Heal The World” was released by Lion Music on June 2007 with worldwide distribution. It received very good reviews from all the Italian major metal magazines. Later in the year, the band shot a video of their hit song “Fire” (working with Italian company “Solingo Visual Arts”) directed by Elia Cristofoli. The video was heavily broadcast on several Italian tv networks such as Rai Uno (top Italian tv channel), Rete 4, Music Box (and others) and has a good exposure on the web, as well.
In febrary 2008 the band hit the road playing a serie 10 concerts, covering all the central and northern Italy major clubs. They even played the famous rock club “Rolling Stone” in Milan.
In the mean time, Twinspirits continued to work on new material for their second album. Unfortunately, towards the end of 2007, singer Søren Adamsen decided to leave the band, and so Daniele and the other guys started auditioning new singers that could fit the band's sound.
The auditions ended up with the discover of Goran Nystrom from Sweden! In the beginning of 2008, Goran officially became the new singer of Twinspirits.
The new album (to be entitled "The Forbidden City") was recorded throughtout 2008. Recordings were engineered by Ugo Bolzoni at New Frontiers recording studio and mix and master took place by Gabriele Ravaglia and Simone Mularoni at Fear studio.
The new album will be released by Lion Music in September 2009 and the band will hit the road again in fall/winter 2009!
