Tribute to IZI like to play video games. They help me escape into worlds that are all to unfamilar to me, and I like that. I also like to build model cars. I haven't done one in awhile, well since all my modeling supplies were destroyed by a tornado, but I always like the patience it takes to create something so intricate and detailed. My biggest escape, since that mainly what interests are, is writting poetry and short stories. I have one of each posted on here and will certainly share more in the future. The poem I have here is called "Thoughts on an Autumn Day" and it is one of the very few poems that I have written while I was happy. In love actually, but alas, that ship has since sailed and I'm left here feeling empty alot of the time. I really like exploring feelings. All of them too, not just the fun ones. I think being introspective is one of my better qualites, but it is hard to share that stuff.
Music
I grew up listening to country music and I will always appreciate the wonderful talents that gave themselves to that art, but Led Zeppelin is my favorite band. I like anything that takes talent to play and some stuff that doesn't. I cut my teeth as a teen with heavy metal to rebel against my parents I guess. The first cassette that I ever owned myself was Megadeth-Peace Sells and it blew me away. I had to hide it from my mom because she found my brother's Metallica-Kill Em All and destroyed it. I then found the rage of punk. Not this new crap that they try to pass off as punk like Green Day or whatever, but DK, Sex Pistols, Ramones, Misfits(my personal fav), and Black Flag. I got into GBH(Great Britian Hardcore) and early Rancid for awhile and kept my metal roots. Bob has had a big influence on my life aswell...and for those of you not "in the know" I am speaking of Bob Marley and the Wailers. His music has helped me through some pretty rough times in my life and I will never get the chance to thank him except to keep him in my heart and his music in my ears. I really use music as a way to express myself, even though it is performed by other people, because I don't have the artistic talent like that. I can feel how they feel and I connect that way. Lately I've been heavy into Tool and the D, but in Missouri it's hard to find new music because of the whole "Bible Belt" stigma. Can't listen to the radio 'cause all they play is shit. I luck into new music most of the time and if I don't, then I just recycle old favs. I'm always up to hear new stuff regardless of what genre it's in. I mean if it's music, I can dig it.

Movies
I like a variety of movies. I'll list a few of my favs here in no particular order: Princess Bride, Shawshank Redemption, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Breakfast Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show, 300, Field of Dreams, Strange Brew, A Clockwork Orange, Star Wars Trilogy, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Godfather 1 & 2, The Shining, Natural Born Killers, and the Blues Brothers just to name a few.
Television
Dane Cook "Weird Guy at Work" Halo2 Machinema
Dane Cook "Not so Kool-Aid"
You Are Bud Light
You're not fussy when it comes to beer. If someone hands it to you, you'll drink it.
In fact, you don't understand beer snobbery at all. It all tastes the same once you're drunk!
You're an enthusiastic drinker, and you can often be found at your neighborhood bar.
You're pretty good at holding your liquor too - you've had lots of experience.
One of the best author's that I've had the pleasure to read is Christopher Moore. He is fucking hilarious, poignant, and often times down right crazy. His works that I've read and recommend highly are: Island of the Sequined Love Nun, Fluke(or I Know Why the Winged Whale Sings), Lamb(the Gospel According to Biff, Christ's childhood pal), and the Stupidest Angel(A Heartwarming Tale of Christmas Terror ver 2.0). I got my affinity for reading starting with Stephen King novels and explored most of his works. I also enjoy Dean Koontz. I read John Grisham for awhile. I started with the Rainmaker and really enjoyed the way he tells a story. Ann Rice is also high on my list of note-worthy authors, though a little dry. Fantasy books are also a good read, and I recommend R.A.Salvatore and the Icewindale Trilogy and the Dark Elf trilogy to name a few, but I don't like all of the fairy dust and pixie tails that alot of those authors use as filler. And if you have to mention fantasy authors, J.R.R.Tolkien's books are absolutely fantastic. If you have only seen the movies, you are missing SO much. I really don't care much for C.S.Lewis because of all the religious tripe that is crammed down your throat in those books, so fuck him. I know you can say that about Tolkien aswell, but I like his literary skill much more and that's my opinion, so HA!
Heroes
Heroes, huh? Well I have never really had any of those. I looked up to people because of the things they have done in their life and for who they were inside, especially during the tough times, but I wouldn't call those heroes. I guess I've always been a bit disappointed with the people in my life who "should" have been heroes, with an exception for my mom, but she wasn't always as great as she is now. Alot of you might read that and think, "man, what a prick.", but you really have to walk a mile in these shoes to appreciate where that comes from. There were alot of times that I didn't have anyone I could even look up to, and that is sad. Everyone should have a hero, that much I know, but life has never been nor will ever be fair. Apart from every man and woman that has served in our armed forces, I guess a hero to me would be someone who has persevered through tough times and grown old graciously. That is really all you can ever ask out of life, short of not being alone.

MY BUDDY SILENT DAVE WATCHED THIS FROM HIS BEDROOM WINDOW THE OTHER DAY
Two men were fatally shot today in Marionville, an incident that apparently stemmed from a car accident on the edge of town.
Missouri Highway Patrol Sgt. Mike Watson said a two-vehicle accident was reported at 1 p.m. today on Highway ZZ. The accident was reportedly between a sports utility vehicle and another vehicle.
Watson said a man in a small white bus stopped to help the drivers involved in the accident on the edge of town. The driver of the SUV reportedly got out of the vehicle with a shotgun and fatally shot the man who stopped to help, he said.
The driver of the SUV, who was still armed, walked down Highway ZZ, Watson said.
A Marionville police officer, reportedly en route to the accident, spotted the suspect at Highway ZZ and Western Street, Watson said.
The suspect allegedly shot at the officer, wounding him in the neck, he said.
Watson said the officer then returned fire, fatally shooting the suspect. The officer was taken by ambulance to a Springfield hospital.
The Missouri Highway Patrol has not released any names, but officers are expected to release more information later today.
About 20 officers from the patrol, Marionville Police, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s office and area police departments have responded to the scene.
