About me: In 1989 Two Boots of Brooklyn opened as a neighborhood restaurant & bar devoted to serving fun food and lively drinks in a friendly and funky atmosphere. Our name comes from the shapes of Louisiana and Italy: the menu is Cajun and Italian, and includes gumbo, jambalaya, southern fried chicken, fresh seafood, New Orleans po’boy sandwiches, and a wide selection of pastas, appetizers & salads, and our famous thin-crust pizza. We also have a great brunch, children’s menu, and live music on weekends.

Who I'd like to meet: Legendary South African Bassist, Bakithi Kumalo, at Two Boots Performing Chick Corea's 'Spain'.
Thanks so much for the add! My daughter lives in your neighborhood and we've had the pleasure of partaking in your excellent Cajun cuisine.
Copper Rose is a multi-genre band, which incorporates traditional Cajun rhythms into our set. We plan on attending the Dewey Balfa Heritage Festival again this spring to bring back more good stuff. We will be posting the first of our original Cajun influenced tunes after the New Year and we hope to be considered by you all to perform someday. Stop by and give a listen if you have a chance.
Hell, we know it's the weekend following Halloween, but back due to popular demand in conjunction with November 2 First Friday, RePOP will be hosting their 2nd annual Ghoulish Halloweenie Extravaganza soooo save the date because you MUST BE THERE! The festivities begin around 8pm and carry on to the wee hours both within the shop and our private back room. The event will be catered by the scrumptious talents of Christian and Yoko of Urban Palate and costumes are required with a grand prize awarded to the best! All attendees are encouraged to bring an offering of their favorite poison to contribute on this evening of art, dance and merriment. Be prepared to shake your groove thing to Halloween Hootenany, Industrial, New Wave, Synth and Rockabilly!
That evening RePOP will also be proud to present their first photography exhibition featuring the electrifying work of two Brooklyn based photographers, Elizabeth Lambert and Lucia Cousins. Inspired by the ebb and flow of New York, these artists capture the fleeting remnants of that which makes our city unique as well as examining closely the seen but often misunderstood sensuality of the spaces within the images that pass us by in our hustle and bustle from one place to the next. Odd objects, surreal images captured from flea markets, subway tunnels and the shrines of ages past are all represented in this glorious body of work that washes over the whole to analyze the bits and parts of what makes an urban jungle tick.
This will also be a sort of a little house warming shindig too as we have FINALLY finished our apartment (behind the shop.) So come down to start off the evening with the show @ RePOP and then migrate with us to the back room for after hour merriment!! The Waverely brewery is supplying a keg, but bring a beverage of your choice if you'd like, a lot of friends....and a FABULOUS outfit, of course!
Hey Two Boots, the prigs want to thank you from the depths of all of our hearts,
we had so much fun last night and the chicken fried steak that every member of the band ate was wonderfull.
keep up the awesomeness
