Sounds LikeI just heard of new video up on youtube of Beth Southwell's concert at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre last November. This particular video is "THE PAGE."

Beth is joined on stage by Elise Bouer on violin, Wayne Adams on drums, Jesse Waldman on guitar and Bahiyyih on back up vocals.

More video of Beth at the Cutch can be seen if you just search for Beth Southwell on youtube.com or visit my station RPW Music's station on YouTube where I have added these movies in my favourites section.

Beth did a show at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre on Wed, Nov 21st, with Denmark's Emma Ninel. It was a great success. This video is of the first song of her set, solo, before the band came on. We will upload other videos as they become available. You can hear Kayla, 6 months old and at her first concert, singing along with her aunty Beth.

Real Life by Two Tall Women "A reel of well spread folk guitars backing a confident lady vocalist and her harmony double. If you like 'statement' folk that makes you think and if you like to hear every well chosen word...then you'll be nodding along to this one "-JAWZ added to station 1/4/2008 2:49:24 PM

More About Pam and Beth
Pam Southwell starting singing in Folk Clubs in England at the age of 17 years old. She's a children's performer (singer and storyteller), with a new Storytellng CD coming out in June. It is entitled, The Stories of Three: Billy Goats, Bears and more
Pam has written plays, recorded 4 childrens CDs and is now currently exploring the exciting world of painting-where the creative ideas are pouring in.
Pam Southwell
Pam plays the guitar, bouzouki, mandolin and Low D whistle.

Beth Southwell is a singer songwriter, traveller of the world and the organiser of several music nights around the city.
Beth has been singing and performing for about 15 years. Beth plays the guitar, accordian, pennywhistle, djembe and the Tenor Saxophone.
Several of Beths songs were inspired and written while travelling the world. Songs like Santorini- written about being on what was later discovered to be the wrong side of the island where there was nothing to do. It is a bit of a stranded on an island type of songs. dealing with the mixed emotions of being in paradise yet beiing bored and lonely.
Taipei was written when Beth taught over in Taiwan. The song speaks of the differences that exist in the everyday life of both cultures. A lot to get used to... finding her way in Taipei. Beth has completed the Advanced Arts and Management program at Capilano College which enables her to better understand the industry and events world.
