Fresh off a quick fall club Chicago venue tour capped with the House of Blues show with FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, TWO TON ANVIL is currently in the studio recording their first full length CD slated for a September 2009 release.
Two Ton Anvil is the combined forces of Chris Chubb and Brian Ericson . The duo decided to put their creative minds together in summer of 2007 during the pre-production of Chris's other project (Passin Throu) titled "In Your Head."
With the talent and endless creativity to deliver, Two Ton Anvil has pumped out some of the heaviest music that the duo has ever created. They have completed their vision by adding drum guru Larry DeMumbrum and newly added bassist Glenn Christon. Combining several Metal genre’s like mid tempo heavy groove with fast thrash/speed metal. There’s no question that tunes like "Fuel My Hate" (an inner perspective of an Iraq soldiers life), "What We’ve Made," and "Two Ton Anvil" are catchy tunes that keep you coming back for more. Maybe you want the speed of "Glass Houses" or the melodies of "Still Afraid." Whatever type of metal you're looking for, these guys seem to have it.
The big production of Two Ton Anvil's material makes it obvious there is no lack of engineering and production expertise on this project. A very meaty mind crushing sound with huge vocals and catchy melodies that are guaranteed to jar you head and blow your speakers out while tapping your feet and nodding your head. It’s only a matter of time before these maniacs start taking over from city to city.
