    Twowaymonologues.com (Dan)'s Interests
GeneralWho defines what one is interested in? Honestly I spend most of my time between music (both listening to and writing about it) and following, betting on and talking about sports. Other than that I am very interested in my girlfriend, philosophy, marketing, and perhaps you but I wouldn't know that yet would I?
MusicWell we have two options here, option a is to do what some people on Myspace do and list 6434537 musicians I've listened to at one point in my life or option b you click this twowaymonologues.com and you find out for yourself. For those of you who are lazy my all time favourite band is Pearl Jam. Closely following are Blind Melon, Modest Mouse, the Rheostatics, Outkast, Elliott Smith, Madlib and many more. Recently I've been loving the new Aqueduct record, Hazmat Modine, the Postmarks, Peter Elkas, Antibalas, and Les Breastfeeders. Get the picture?
MoviesFear + Loathing In Las Vegas, Waking Life, I Heart huckabees, Memento, Gridlock'd, Wayne's World, Adaptation, The Big Lebowski, Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle, Napoleon Dynamite, Magnolia, American Beauty, House of 1000 Corpses, Lost Highway, Don't Be A Menace, Slackers, Oh Brother Were Art Thou.
TelevisionI find a show, I love it and it gets cancelled. Arrested Development, Clone High, Undergrads, Bromwell High are a few examples of this. There are a few left I watch those being Kenny vs Spenny, the Ultimate Fighter, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, CSI, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
BooksI should read more than I do so you don't need to tell me this. John Irving and Hunter S Thompson are the two writers that I adore. Everyone else comes a distant third.

About me:
My name is Dan Wolovick and I run an up and coming music review website called Two Way Monologues. We write reviews almost daily, weekly and bi-weekly features, and more and more band interviews.

We also put on a monthly indie showcase at the Rancho Relaxo and are always looking for potential bands to play this showcase. Our writing staff is now at twelve writers finally giving us the ability to branch out into more live reviews, and reviving some areas of the website that our previously tiny staff could not handle. An even better version of the site is in the works albeit slowly... so stay tuned as the site you know gets even better. If you are a band and you see this and are interested in getting reviewed, and/or featured in our weekly track review segment or interviewed get in touch. I can be reached at dan@twowaymonologues.com. Alternately feel free to send along anything you'd like us to consider for review to the following address:

To have 70's inspired rock-bands just demonstrates an unwavering diversity. Well done.

Brother, our shared beloved friend Carlo speaks rather well of you. Just because he is kind to everyone doesn't mean you shouldn't be flattered all the same.

I hope you're not exhausted of live music after NXNE, because I'd like to personally invite you for a drink and a smile at our musical party this Thursday, June 19th at Sneaky Dee's. We'll be accompanied by a couple of very energetic & powerful bands (ADA & The Isosceles Project) that will make for an especially high-caliber soirée. We'll also be premiering new material, which is exciting for us.

If you're curious about details or want to invite others, here's the event listing (I assure you this link is not hazardous):

Thank you immensely, Dan. You're a good man; please persist in your inherent goodness.

Peace, respect & good karma.

I'm really liking the TWM Mixtape compilation CD. Really reflective of the bands and spirit of the Two Way Monologues series. Impressive.

Witnessing a show at Rancho where it's just thriving with activity, capturing that musical aura, just makes me and others pleased with how far you've taken the venue, and how much you've established yourself, as a champion of fostering music culture in the city.
