Tx/Rx has emerged from Atlanta as one the most exciting, original, song-oriented bands in the Southeast. The band has quickly drawn a following based off of their exciting live shows. In mid-2006 they decided to record a full-length cd on their own, under the production talents of Joel Mullis and band member Lee Hendrickson. The result was the album Transmit/Receive. After listening to the album, one critic said "hard to believe Tx/Rx hasn't been signed to a major label".
Much of the success of Tx/Rx is musicians who have a song first approach. The vocal talents of Kevin Author are hard to compare. Some comparisons have been to Bono, Chris Cornell, Davey Havok, etc. The twin guitars of Chad Carter and Lee Hendrickson evoke comparisons to some of the finest guitar duos in rock history. Groundbreaking Magazine says "the guitar riffs you will unconsciously try to air guitar". The recent addition of rhythm section members Delly Pranata and Brett Clanton have solidified the lineup and allowed Tx/Rx to continue their collaborative writing process. Now they are ready for live performances wherever their travels may take them.
Tx/Rx has been on over 150+ FM radio stations as well as numerous internet radio broadcasts and many a podcast. Electrobus Radio even has Transmit/Receive on their must own list. Some other internet radio stations include several Live365 stations. One of which called Good S**t Music the song ‘User Friendly made it to number seven on the charts. Other stations include Radio Free Cruze, Indiebandradio, etc.
2008 promises to be an exciting year. In February this motivated band released a new seven song EP. Tx/Rx’s music is a must hear, and even better, their live show is a must see.
Hey Guys I've been asked to write a book for bands about using social media to promote their band/songs. It's more of a challenge these days since so many fans have left myspace for facebook. I will include quotes from each band that I refer to in the book and links to their myspace. If you have any thoughts that you'd like to share, I'd appreciate it! peace n luv sherry
Feel free to listen to my new house track called "The Strings Of paris" which is available right now on my page and web digital shop. This is a kind of old school flavoured house track.
