....This profile was edited with ..Thomas’ myspace editor™ V2.5.. Ty Holden began his dj career in 1988,till that point Ty had been a musician ,playing bass guitar in a band called Crown Of Thorns, managed by Police manager Miles Copeland, the band built up a large underground following touring with the likes of Killing Joke and The Birthday Party and releasing 4 singles. The excitement of the acid house scene lured him away from live music, always a keen collector of music Ty began organising his own warehouse parties in London playing alongside now established names such as Carl Cox, Evil Eddie Richards, Mr C, Kevin Saunderson and a host of other guest dj..s. It was not long before Ty turned his hand towards music production, already used to working in a studio environment he produced a number of singles under various guises, The Leveller, N.Y Project, The Magi, Creative Force to name but a few. With the creation of Londons premiere pirate radio station Girls FM, Ty found an excellent platform to play his style of music to a large audience and introduce American DJs such as Erick Morillo, DJ Pierre, Victor Simonelli, DJ EFX, Dave Camacho and Rasoul who all made guest appearances. The increasing popularity of the station launched the careers of Luke Solomon, Kenny Hawks and Rob Mello all of whom Ty co-produced with. By this time Ty had a number of Residencies alongside Judge Jules at Camden palace, United Nations at Cafe DeParis as well as the popular Girls FM parties at Bagleys and Club UK. During this period Ty and another Girls FM dj, Mark Robinson opened a record shop in Londons Carnaby street and Ty joined the State 51 management Team who provided a studio for Him to work in alongside engineers James Browne and later James Reynolds who with Ty went on to become London Connection, a prolific remix team who remixed such artists as Aretha Franklin, Next, Tyrese Gibson and Angie Stone. Ty continued a heavy release schedule under his own name and alongside K.C.C, renowned for his Notting Hill Carnival stage. Together they recorded a number of records for the Nice and Ripe labels. This year Ty has been appearing at Running Records parties around the U,K alongside Mark Robinson. Played for Soho House at the Cannes film festival and has just completed a hot remix of the Audiowhores new single for Peppermint Jam. Watch out for new material from the Sonik Outlaws, new tune on Pure Funk..One Day a Rain Will Come, out soon.An extensive list of my back catalogue is now available in mp3 32k format at www.ukgmp3.co.uk
