i like pretty much at least some of every type there is, the sounds of life and everything in it forming endless arrays of music which we can navigate with our selective hearing and actively take part in like a dj selects the tunes and levels at which you hear them, even the felt rhythms of the body forming a silent music of their own...
but i love all types of jungle and old skool uk breakbeat hardcore, hiphop especially the early 90s, mid 90s underground and avant garde, jazz (mainly 50s-60s), conscious classic reggae and dancehall, classical, 50s-80s rock, blues, 60s-70s funk, rnb and rare groove, old acid house, triphop, experimental electronic, breakcore and other wierd shit i find in record bins around the city. ideally a cross between squarepusher, some guy you never heard of, rahsaan roland kirk, a death cry, a birth cry, dose one, a chanting monk and dj shadow in a funky mood.
Movies
too many that i can't remember right now, but out of the ones i can, pretty much everything by david lynch, waking life, i heart huckabees, what the bleep do we know, shawshank redemption, and in general movies that stimulate your mind, expand your awareness, make you laugh and touch your heart.
Television
south park, trailer park boys, boondocks, family guy, futurama, the simpsons, ali g, the office, pbs, the nature channel, the space channel and the discovery channel.
Books
