We are Richard Tate, Tyler Belarde and Jimmy Phan, collectively known as TYLER FLAME & THE ELLIPSIS. We’re into rocking out, dancing around, and getting so drunk we cease to care about what we put in our bodies (foodwise). We fear mountain lions, impalement, and unprotected fornication. Our favorite foods are Mexican food, Jimmy’s mom’s cooking, and birds of most varieties. We HELLA like beer, but won’t trash the place when we’re a little tight. Respect is the name of the game.
We like it raw and in our faces, all day and all of the night. And we reciprocate.
You should listen to the CD if you want to know what we sound like. Some say it’s a little punk rocky, carrying a whiff of the blues, the funk, a dash of country- eclectic North American music, straight out of the island called California. We met behind the Redwood Curtain in the north coast town of Arcata, which we claim as our home base, but please don’t misunderstand: there isn’t a dreadlock on any of us (anymore).
We wish to travel the nation and spread word of rock & roll stylings that eschew cosmetic posturing and artistic autoeroticizing, choosing instead to bang our heads like apes suffering grand mal seizures whilst producing a withering assault of passionate, mostly 4/4 rockers. The volume knobs are adjusted from time to time. It’s got something to do with THAT SOUND, and you’ll know what that means when you hear it. When you hear THAT SOUND, it will feel as though the molten filling of jalapeno poppers is flowing through your veins.

yay! hi rich! wow, things have been non-stop since i got to the island. i still have the list of all your emails and haven't had a chance to put them in my address book. the training course is over on tuesday, so hopefully i'll have some more free time after that. i'm definitely getting my ass kicked a bit here. we start in the water at 6:30am and go on till it's dark, then we have to study. are you in alaska yet? what's goin on with you? i miss you!
