    Well, after my time with the Columbia Inferno, my mission of learning to skate went reasonably well. I only fell 2 times on the ice (In front of people)!!!! You might remember, that up until the 07-08 season, I was the guy who worked for a professional hockey team that couldn't skate. Now, I know what you are thinking. "You're from Vermont. How can you NOT know how to skate?" I just couldn't. I skied. This little exchange normally leaves me curled in a ball in the corner, with shakes and dry heaves chanting Boston Bruins rally cries.

    So Heartland came to town for a show, and they invited me on stage to perform a song with them...what else..BON JOVI!!!!

    Ok, so here are some cooking lessons..don't try this at home, kids:

    Money makes your world go round - and it's no surprise that you always vote your wallet. You're financially successful (or plan to be), and your agenda is low tax and pro business.     The Princess Bride, The Cutting Edge (no laughing-Toe pick..), Next of Kin, because it is about true justice. Wedding Crashers, because, it was just funny. Field of Dreams, because of my own father. (for that matter most any Kevin Costner film rocks). In fact, I am in the middle of an internal debate about which movie is better, Tomestone or Wyatt Earp. I liked Goodfellas because it makes you think about who your friends really are. And A Few Good Men, because it makes the Steps To Kevin Bacon game easy.

  • Television

    I am a news junkie, so most any place I can find it...Fox News is my favorite, but CNN is entertaining from time to time. Plus, I have a MINOR crush on Robin Meade. I also watch the nerdy A&E and Court TV shows. Ok, I also have to admit, I got sucked into "Ice Road Truckers." Since I bought my house, I am also hooked on HGTV. The Shield, Family Guy and Scrubs round out my brain candy...you know the TV that is not good for you, but you can't help it.

    You mean I have to read too??? Bill O is always a good bet...Glen Beck's Christmas Sweater is worth the time. I pick my the trusty Limbaugh books from time to time, The Art of War, also check out "Dealing with People You Can't Stand."

    Also, if you want to have a little fun at work, start leaving around the office your copy of "How To Survive a Hostle Work Environment." and say nothing about it.

    Thanks to an old roommate, I took the time to read Tuesdays With Morrie, and The Art of War is worth the time.
