Tyler Shamy is an 18 year old actor, singer, song writer, dancer, voiceover artist, and model born in New Jersey. His original fusion of pop, r&b, rock, and techno makes him an undeniably unique artist; Not to mention his metro, chic look, and his upbeat and admirable personality. Already attracting fans around the globe, he is a role model to thousands of kids and teens thanks to his positive attitude, ambition, and individuality. Since August of 2007, Shamy has been living in Los Angeles to pursue his musical career as well as acting in film, television, commercial, and voiceover. Already one of the top 100 unsigned artists on Myspace’s California Pop list, Tyler worked with Grammy Award-Winning producer Christian Davis of Sly Doggie Productions, who produced Shamy's EP titled “Goin’ to LA”. Recently, Tyler has been writing and recording new songs for his full length album with established producers and writers in the industry such as Martin Harrington, Tom Leonard, Adam Kagan, Mysto & Pizzi, The Knocks, Jeffery David, Deanna DellaCioppa, Amy Powers, Eric Lumiere, and more.
At a very young age, Shamy knew that he passionately wanted to pursue a career in the industry. Inspired by his father who is a singer, song writer, and pianist, Tyler started writing music when he was about twelve years old and now has over thirty original tunes. An affluent writer, Shamy composes both the lyrics and melodies for his songs. Though he has no formal training on the instrument, Shamy plays piano by ear. Shamy’s music has been featured internationally on radio stations in over 15 major markets including Radio Disney, Clear Channel, New York’s WOR 710, UK’s Taff Air Radio, New York's 99.1 FM and 1110 AM, WTBQ Radio, Dixie Radio Indy, Teen Talk, Planet Net Tunes, KWAV.biz, Pop Garden Radio, XF Radio, The Jake Larsen Show, Decades 5, Radio Basile, Blog Talk Radio and many more. Tyler's integrity and dedication earned him a spot on Radio Disney as one of their Featured Incubator Artists. Ty has performed at several reputable concerts and venues, such as Whisky a Go Go, Six Flags, OC Fair, Girlfest, and Kidfest-the largest family expo in the northwest. He has entertained thousands of people and has performed among acts like Sheryl Crow, V-Factory, Varsity Fan Club, The Clique Girlz, Savannah Outen, Joey Page, Comic Book Heroes, Savvy and Mandy, Jonnie & Brookie, and Ashley Argota. As if that weren’t exciting enough, Shamy’s music is played regularly at popular theme parks such as California’s Castle Park & the UK’s Barry Island Pleasure Park. His song “Goin’ to LA” was also featured as “Myxer’s Pick of the Day” on the homepage of the most widely recognized ringtone site around-myxer.com. His ringtone was downloaded once every 19 seconds during the 24 hours it was featured. He enjoys giving back to the community by performing at charity events and fund raisers for School Zone Pop! Tour, Relay for Life, Boys and Girls Club, The American Cancer Society, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Gomez Family Food Drive, and other non-profit organizations. Tyler performed in front of thousands of childhood cancer survivors and their families at Paramount Studios for a special event called Celebrate Life with HOPE, which Jessica Simpson also appeared at. Additionally, Shamy is donating one of his songs to the compilation CD Cure Across the World - all proceeds will be given directly to The American Cancer Society. Ty is an advocate for animals and a passionate vegetarian.
Shamy has worked in theatre since the young age of seven and began film, commercial, and voiceover work by the time he reached age thirteen. He can be seen in several independent and short films, some of which have been successful in the film festival circuit. He has also appeared in feature films with international distribution. Ty has worked on many projects including the Emmy-Award winning soap “General Hospital”, a feature film called “Bold Native”, a Wayans Brothers/Paramount film titled “Dance Flick”, an online educational resilience program called "R4POWER" distributed to schools and kids worldwide, commercials for 7-11, T-Mobile, Sony HDTV, and Guitar Hero, Brett Dennen’s music video, Monet Monico’s music video, a Black Eyed Peas music video, and a Public Service Announcement. Tyler was also interviewed on Cable TV talk show “Long Beachin’ with Mo” which airs in Long Beach, Los Angeles, England, Australia, New Zealand, and on Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Tyler has appeared in numerous community, regional, and professional productions of musicals and plays throughout the years including the Off-Broadway showcase “Wuthering Heights, the regional tour of “The Velveteen Rabbit”, and “The House of Yes” on Hollywood’s Theater Row. He had the honor of receiving a Perry Award nomination for "Outstanding Young Male Performer in a Musical" for his leading role in “Honk”. Tyler can also be heard on three of the acclaimed Kids’ Music Round CDs, voiceovers for a Coldstone Creamery radio spot, a Sony video game, the Educational Testing Service, and the Kabillion Network. He consistently trains with reputable acting and vocal coaches to hone his craft.
It is uncommon to find an artist who can sing and incorporate such a wide range of genres into their music as Shamy does. “I was immediately impressed with Tyler’s singing and songwriting skills,” says music industry veteran Jerry Lembo. “His energy and personal motivation are inspiring. Tyler is a promotion and marketing manager’s dream client,” Lembo continues, “someone who can be a career artist with unlimited multimedia potential.”
Currently, Tyler is recording his first album. Shamy's goal is to create music which inspires, impacts, entertains, and enlightens. Tyler knows who he is and where he wants go. Sometime in the near future, Shamy hopes to tour all around the U.S. and eventually, throughout the world.

The turkey shot out of the oven and rocketed into the air, it knocked every plate off the table and partly demolished a chair.
It ricocheted into a corner and burst with a deafening boom, then splattered all over the kitchen, completely obscuring the room.
It stuck to the walls and the windows, it totally coated the floor, there was turkey attached to the ceiling, where there'd never been turkey before.
It blanketed every appliance, it smeared every saucer and bowl, there wasn't a way I could stop it, that turkey was out of control.
I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure, and thought with chagrin as I mopped, that I'd never again stuff a turkey with popcorn that hadn't been popped.
