Anyone who saw me live this summer would have seen me with my friend Nick. He's lost in the mountains somewhere about now so its back to just me again. I play acoustic guitar and sing!
Influences
Growin up in the middle of the country with a bunch of good ole boys from Illinois and just livin life and havin a good time too. With all that its pretty easy to be inspired to write some feel good music. Theres way too many bands that I like to list all of them but to pick a few I'd say, Lynard Skynard, Johnny Cash, Hank Jr., Chris Ledoux, and some rock bands like Bush, Pearl Jam and all that good stuff.

Hey its me Tyler. I didn't grow up with a crapy life but that doesn't mean everything was always easy. But, unlike many people I had the ability to grow up in the country just outside of a small town in central Illinois. Because of this I do believe my life was probably way better than anyone who grew up in a large city and hasn't been able to see any more that a handful of stars on any given night. If you drive through the country and think that all you see is fields, than you need to polish up on your imagination. Some of the best times of my life have been spend hangin out around a campfire. Just a few friends jammin out a pair of accoustics or 300 people coming out after graduation. Or maybe the best party you could ever possibly attend. I am speaking of the 'Summer Pond Party' which takes place every June just outside of my hometown.
About me though? I started playing guitar when I was about 13. I'm not exceptionally good at it but I can play well enough. I got my first accoustic for christmas when I was 15 by my grandfather would use to play for his church. Yep, he was a minister. He had given me the guitar before he was consumed by alzhiemerz and eventually lost his battle 9 years later.
I've been singing since I was 4 or 5. Pretty much I can remember I was singing in the school chiors and musicals..... My friends will tell ya, they teased the hell outta me. But now, not so much.
One thing that has never changed and never will is that I love music and just about any form of it. For every one person who has said they didn't like it another 5 has told me they loved it. I'll never completely leave rural central Illinois because theres just too much to miss if you know what you're looking at. So maybe next time you drive by a field, open your eyes a little wider friend.
