About Tyranny Belle Records

Tyranny Belle Records was founded on July 15, 2005.

The Chicago-based label is already raising eyebrows in the alternative press for its unique approach to content distribution, and for good reason: as DRM becomes increasingly ubiquitous and the RIAA's reckless crusade against file-sharing proves increasingly disastrous for the music business, a label that makes its entire catalog available for free download is certainly a remarkable thing.

Tyranny Belle was established in order to organize a number of musical projects hailing from diverse genres under a single banner. At present, Tyranny Belle represents the interests of Children's Masterpiece Theatre, Dubious Moniker, The Proscriptions, Rusty Pipes and The Sweetheart Brigade.
